The Pro Max has exclusivity on Apple's first periscope lens and that is really making a difference. The upgrade to 48MP for the vanilla phones barely tipped the scales.

It’s time for Apple to completely cut the “vanilla” lineup and only sell the Pros every year and a kinda-budget phone like the SE every two years. Especially the Plus while it seemed like a good idea last year proved to probably be worse than the Minis.
