s... moreTbf the 888 isnt the worst, probably best out of those choices. My phone with an 888 gets better battery than even a few current flagships still and doesnt overheat all the time because oppo designed the phones pretty well with thermals.
You forgot the tensor line, 1st 2 iterations were very bad (i mean they are just exynos chips rebranded and using a different gpu) and tbf non of them are as bad as when the SD 810 was released, that was a seriously bad SoC (would get beaten by the 6 core 808 regularly lol).

They are in mutually beneficial relationship but Samsung is facing fiscal slump now, so Samsung is more dependent on Apple.

So basically you are getting an S20FE just with a new chipset (last year's top chip). Awesome...I would have really liked this to be a true FE- cut what people can live without but still have the best features of a modern smartphone like a better ultra-wide camera and ltpo.

Fan Edition as I've said many times before, is a pointless demarkation, although they're fantastic phones.
We often get a heavier, larger version of a flagship, with randomly different cameras, sometimes better sometimes worse, for barely $200 lesser cash. In the age of financing, we shouldn't even be accepting this. Although ironically, I gifted an S20Fe to my wife so I'm not sure I will be allowed to keep this opinion, but that's because it was a sweet deal @ 23000 with finance, considering Snapdragon 865 and MicroSD slot both.
Coming to the topic, if you're a true Samsung fan, ideally you should support Exynos, but that's not the case with many fans.
I hope one day Exynos improves such that its a capable competitor to Snapdragon.

Only the first S20FE with Snapdragon made sense. It was 30% less than regular S.
I'm still looking for a decent replacement without spending 800,900,1000+ on a phone to get me 3 flagship grade cameras on the back, top performing chipset, 512GB + of storage, fast charging and superb display and brand that will promise regular and stable software experience.
There are a lot of phones in the market but nowhere near the price category the original FE intended to be (around 500).
Recommend me something if you dare to find.
