Ro, The launch priceof iPhone 15 is less in india than iPhone 14 was. The situation could be similar in China. This is also why people in tier 2 and tier 3 cities are buying it more than last year.
Sales of phone series (be it iPhone series or even galaxy S series or pixel series) should only be compared with their last year after the end of the sales cycle. Not at the end of the first hour or first week or month because companies can boost initial sales for publicity purposes and release the news to the media.

Zendroid, 23 Sep 2023So it was just a lie about iPhone 15 banned in China? Ban only for high ranking CCP officials. Because everyone of them was using an iPhone, instead of a Chinese brand. It wasn't exactly a good way to advertise Chinese manufacturers. :D
By the way, even Huawei's CEO is using an iPhone as his prime device.

I would rather have it more balanced where the frame is still extremely good, like with the 'Steel' frame the iPhones have used earlier while having a more robust glass. Or like the 'armor aluminum' the Samsung phones use.
There is a good reason why Apple lowered the cost of replacing the back glass on the iPhone 15's, because Apple knows they will shatter like no tomorrow.
So I don't think it's actually an advantage by having a titanium frame now.

when the glass breaks by bending the phone like that, only shows that titanium is indeed
3 x harder than aluminium.
If the phone was made of Gold and glass, the glass would break with even less bending.
