Anonymous, 01 Oct 2023Had the same experience with a Redmi Note 8.I still have my Note 8 and it got 2 OS updates and 3 years of security updates till 2022. The security updates from quarterly to biannually in the 3rd year but still matched or even better than same price segment 2019 phones from Vivo and Oppo that got 1 OS update.

Anonymous, 01 Oct 2023I was meaning Oppo Find X6 not the pro version with MDT 920... moreOf course the find x6 is a more premium phone with a better all-round camera setup but it wasn't launched globally so is not available without import. On the plus side the Chinese model of the find x6 though does have an official global warranty on the Chinese variant and has good band support (at least it covers the important European bands) so it is a more suitable phone for import than most Chinese phones (I think OPPO is the only Chinese brand offering a global warranty on any of their Chinese model phones). For most people though the Xiaomi 13t pro is a more sensible choice as it is available officially in many markets without needing to import

I have mediatek phone, FYI this chip can't be used for remapping buttons via app remapper. So if you want to play pubg or any games with bluetooth gamepad and want to remap the button, beware, that is my only regret

Blaming Xiaomi for not giving them more updates while they never promised so seems kinda obtuse. And when Xiaomi finally promising more updates, there are people bringing up old phones as if that is relevant. There really is no pleasing everyone

Xiaomi update is in fact usually slower than competitors even with flagship devices. And older flagship barely have 3 years of update. Even current 13 Ultra, security patches are still coming out almost a month slower than Samsung mid-range (A54). If one is looking for the latest and fastest updates, Xiaomi is definitely not the one. 4+5 years is very welcome as mid/flagship devices price have creeped up tremendously in the past few years.

Ok true, Telephoto is better on Oppo...but 120x, it's not serious with a 75mm Optic!
You've got Sony main camera on both 13T and 13T Pro, it's IMX707 and it's 1/1.28" and it's better than the 1/1.56" on Oppo.
Both 13T and 13T Pro uses 1220x2712, we are talking less than 2% better res on Oppo, nearly nothing!...Peak brightness is 1400nits on Oppo and...2600 on 13T and 13T Pro, nearly twice!
100 W charging on Oppo...120W on 13T Pro (but both are probably as fast, super vooc is great!)
And yes better UW on 13T Pro
You can record 8k/24, HDR10+ and 10bits Log on 13T Pro, not on Reno
LPDDR5X on 13T Pro is 30% faster than LPDDR5 on Oppo
UFS4.0 on 13T Pro is twice faster than UFS3.1 on Oppo

If you can find a Samsung flagship or Pixel on sale for a very cheap price you might as well just go with that. If not, then you can't go wrong with Xiaomi either.
Smartphones are kinda boring now, simply because most of them are great.

Just cause Android 14 is coming out then the Xiaomi needs to have the Android update out on that date ? You forget that miui also needs to be updated to match the android 14 as the miui needs also update. That takes time to balance out for all there phones that get the updates to 14 as some models even get the older miui number.
Also the longer term update rise the phone price cause it takes money to support the models longer in time period as people need to work on these models for 4-5 years to optimize the update on the old phones.
And you compare Iphone XS that is premium luxury brand phone that only sells flagships in high price to a Xiaomi that at that point was only like 10 years old brand and still was making phones with cheap prices. Year 2018 Xiaomi flagship was like 500 euro while Iphone was still 800 plus euro

ab1dali, 01 Oct 202313T without 60fps support is a scam in itself. Since these ... morei bet the 13T have way way better camera to film that 4K 60fs then Poco F1 have that is build for performance. Also Poco F1 is not a 300 dollars phone in EU.
For me Poco F5 first that amazon.de show me is 407 Euro for 8GB version.
So if you compare the prices from some Indonesia to international then it's a bit weird.
You probably dont even have 2 years warranty on the phone on that 300 dollars price and also thanks to the market regulations the phone can be built by lower standard hardware components too so the phone price be that low
Also i need to say that i dont muck F5 cause i own one of them 8GB version
I am not just able to compare a phone that is made for performance first in mind with a phone that is more of a camera first in mind as a product.

Both phones should at least be EUR100 cheaper, putting it on sale with those prices will make it DoA, people will either save hundreds of bucks for Poco F5/Nothing (2), or spend more for last gen iPhones. Especially the vanilla 13 since the feature upgrades aren't enough to mask its incremental, minor update on the SoC that is MTK Dimensity 8200-Ultra. At that pricing people expecting a vanilla 9200 (or possibly SD 8+ G1), not a 8-series Dimensity.

Lol. These comments look familiar . I remember people also talking trash about the xiaomi 12t pro that I was almost discouraged to buy it . I ended up buying it because why not ? The phone turned out to be incredible and nothing like how the comments made it out to be
