I'm officially hyped for this phone. I feared I would have to settle for the fold 5 or take the risk on honor or Xiaomi with importing. I've owned both the fold 2 & fold 4 which both failed at the crease. Luckily I got a full refund on my 4 under the 1yr factory warranty. All I hope for is that this has wireless charging. Looks like the phone has a couple bonuses like the alert slider and IR blaster. But my biggest hope is wireless charging as its hard to go back once you've had it.

N1uou1, 04 Oct 2023Oppo as a whole is outselling Huawei in China, and they... moreCan't agreed more... Last 3 years my phones was S21 Ultra Exynos version for a very short time, S21 Ultra SD version, MI11 Ultra, S22 Ultra SD Korean version and now S23 Ultra.

But im tired of Samsung and their politics selling Exynos in europe normally for the same price as the superior SD version. So always need to import it to my country Denmark in Europe.

So even if the S24 Ultra will come as a SD version only and even if it's with a flat display i have enough of Samsung for some years.
Tired of low charging speed and many other things.

Next phone for me will be the Xiaomi 14 Ultra with a EU rom, Honor Magic Vs2 folding phone or maybe another soon released phone.

We all Samsung users should let Samsung keep their phones for some years, maybe this could wake them up and give more then just minimum updates on each flagship release.

This is a Camera Island ... with a phone attached 😉

One Plus makes no sense. Used to be Oppo's cheap brand. They have long ceased being that. What's their point? IMO they should go bankrup like HTC and LG mobile before them.

FarFan, 04 Oct 2023Could someone explain why they all do a punch hole in the o... moreI will explain it. For me and for meny users, the main use of the front camera is for video calls. So having in on both displays allows you to answer a video call in any state, without the need for opening/closing the device.
This is the reason I personally like the samsung way with crappy under-display camera thats not that intrusive as punch hole but still gets the job done.

Could someone explain why they all do a punch hole in the outer display, with a primary camera right next to it? And after this claim that they care to make a device affordable?

OnePlus/Oppo has tons ... moreThere no such thing as 3rd iteration of Oneplus foldables, this is literally the first foldable product of Oneplus. Or, you just admitted that is just rebranded Oppo foldable, which would make it no sense to buy the phone in the first place.

Why would spend extra money for rebranded Oppo?

And i am not wrong, 500USD for this phone or i will buy Samsung with more experience in foldable industries.

Majority people agree with me and will buy this phone asap if it has 500USD price.

OnePlus/Oppo has tons of experience with foldables..This is technically their 3rd iteration of foldables, both in software & hardware. Pricing this at $500 would be madness...Doesn't even make sense. Why 500USD? Because it has unpopular Oneplus brand, zero foldable experience, only few worldwide official store, cheap-looking OxygenOS (/ColorOS).

500USD is the most logical price for this phone. Many people agree with me and would definitely buy this with 500USD price.

Honestly, you're just talking nonsesne, and don't even know what you're really going on, other than fanboying over Samsung

You're right, no way the review supports an $800 differential especially with the Open having better specs in some area

I think the networks will price this similar to the Fold 5 which is unfortunate, the best deal may be to buy the phone outright and attach your own data plan

if this doesnt cost $1800 like other foldables (pixel and galaxy) it might actually have a chance in the US. hopefully it matches the price of the oppo find n3 that its based on, which is between $700 and $900 cheaper than pixel and galaxy.
