No efficiency isn't endurance, to get efficiency you have to take total performance of cpu then divide by power consumption.

Some soc are efficient but they use too much power to get that performance hence battery life isn't good.

To understand more check Samsung made soc with A78 cores like Exynos 1380, 1330, SD 4 Gen 2 and sd 7s gen 2, battery life is amazing, E1330 is more efficient than G99, why? Because A78 is better core.

And yeah that's with really inefficient Arm cores still which cannot compete with modern Arm architecture.

Topofan, 26 Oct 20238 Gen 3 is TSMC made, but 8Gen3 for Galaxy looks to be Sams... moreYou have comparison of Tsmc 7nm and Samsung 4lpp/4lpp+ if you have link it, but to my understand 4lpp is better than any Tsmc manufacturing process 6nm and below.

Also efficient has number of things not just manufacturing process. Soc with worse Manufacturing process can be efficient because it use better core and vice versa.

And Huawei P30 pro has Cortex A76 it has no chance efficiency wise vs anything today unless you are confusing efficiency vs power usage like most people here.

A76 at best it can score around 700 geekbench score curent middle cores or prime cores score 1200+ so even if they use more power they are still efficient.

Hemedans, 06 Oct 20234lpp/+ is good, I dont know exactly power difference with ... more8 Gen 3 is TSMC made, but 8Gen3 for Galaxy looks to be Samsung SOC. Likely 3nm Samsung however.
And no - TSMC 7nm is already superior to 4nm Samsung - proof e.g. Huawei 30 Pro. That phone beats any Exynos phone in efficiency until today even though being on TSMC 7nm (the last iteration of it however) - and that was with much less efficient ARM design.

Snapdragon is still the go to chipset for any flagship android device. Best performance, efficiency, and widely supported. Mediatek like exynos is best for budget-oriented devices where performance is not emphasized.
