wait for iPhone 17; that’s where you’d notice a more significant upgrade from the 14

Kuba, 16 Oct 2023I will buy iphone if they allow to place the apps freely on... moreI don’t believe that’s actually the single reason you don’t use that OS. Also because there are workarounds if it’s such a necessity

I will buy iphone if they allow to place the apps freely on the screen. Auto arrange from top to bottom is so annoying and outdated.

This is a no brainer. Get the 15 Pro. Simple, 8GB of RAM. That means longevity wise, the 15 Pro will outlive the 14 Pro by miles. Plus you get the other niceties like USB-C and higher transfer speed.
There's really not much reason to get the 14 Pro. First, you won't be saving that much money unless you go second hand unit. Second, you will be stuck with the obsolete lightning at USB2 speed. If you don't mind lightning, might as well save even more money and get the 13 Pro instead.
Aside from the overheating concerns, the 15 Pro (or Pro Max) is definitely the iPhone to get this time around.

Corporate needs you to find the differences between this picture and this picture
Just kidding I like the reduced dimensions and 8GB RAM. But the differences are really not that big apart from design.

The price difference is quite significant in some places.
Like here in Indonesia, the official warranty 14 Pro is around $1100. 15 Pro on the other hand is only available at resellers at a significant mark up $1720 since Apple haven't officially launch it yet. Even a regular 15 is $1180 here at resellers.

Surprise that no mention of more than 5% slimness of 14 pro, why GSMarena pretend to be non bias?

No point going for 15 Pro or Max from previous one. This one is targeted to Apple newcomers who will appreciate for it having USB-C.

Not sure why GSMArena is bringing out iPhone comparison articles a lot lately.
I believe nobody who bought an iPhone 14 Pros will be willing to upgrade in an year, and those who would upgrade will anyway upgrade without reading the article.

The only difference is the build material, A17 pro and Type C.
One can argue that stainless steel made the 14 pro feel more premium, A17 pro offers next to negligible real world performance, and type C is the only substantial upgrade and that too is subjective.
When I tried to trade in my 14 pro for the 15 pro, Apple let's you compare your current device with the new models and I swear when compared with the 15 pro it was like I was comparing the same phone 😂😂🤣
If you already have the 14 pro, upgrading is a waste of money

If the price difference is 100$/euro or less, there's no point buying the 14 pro.
The hand feel and the weight reduction are enough reasons to go for the 15 pro. The 14 pro is really unbalanced, feels awkward and is very top heavy.

I'd prefer the 15 pro. While it does break more easily than the 14 pro, I put on a case, so that shouldn't be a problem.
