Exynos, good for chip competition, not good for users
Expensive 8gen3.
AI intrusive nonsense ..
Some tiny change there and there, couldn't even call those improvements, just, changes.

i have to say im looking forward to the s24 series with the exynos 2400, but the ultra design is getting old. i was actually excited to see what it would look like, just to see this again. it feels like the s23 series is being released all over again. we want a new design, speaking for everyone here. but you know what they say, dont judge a book by its cover, so i guess we will have to wait and see if there is any surprise awaiting.

Spec are known quite surely already. And specs are sh.t

Especially in Europe with tensynos 4nm.

Maybe the ultra, but too expensive, so, no no no.

      Please, don't buy that !!!

Paying that much for tensynos or old 8gen 4nm.

I will take care my good old s23 keep it as long as I can ( and block any os and vendor app update , I know what I'm talking, update is just make your phone laggy and obsolete earlier than needed...)

Glad777, 17 Oct 2023Show how this has been implemented by companies that use Sn... moreI looked over Nnapi android. I guess nnapi use npu on tenshitnos. I guess also gpu on 8gen is a lot more effective for AI than npu. Samsung uses its own driver for their own jokes like bigsby.

Couldn't find any app monitoring of npu usage.

Reminds me those avx instructions on Intel, pretty useless, using some processor space for nothing.

In a word, npu is a useless shit. Better replaced by recent effective gpu.

Anonymous, 12 Oct 2023lol dude you saying snapdragon/mediatek dont have NPU cores... moreApple is the one with dedicated nlu cores accelerators. These 'accelerate' the process, making it fast and efficient.

In fact, a fully decked Mac Studio is much better at querying AI models (In terms of performance per watt).. like Llama2. Vs if you go buy a 4090.. which cost a bomb and drain power like no other days.

That's why Snapdragon despite having those 'Hexagon'.. its slow and drain battery compared to Apple's A series.

Just import S24/24+ Snapdragon variants from Hong Kong. No different to the European models except cheaper 🤣

There is hope for the iPhone, because they are thinking about where to go, they have NPU cores, it is promising for the future. 16-17 I think it can be a breakthrough in mobile gaming, cameras are already in good shape, the only thing left is to conquer satellites, make them more accessible, and support I would also like to see spare parts like in Pixels
Snapdragon can go to shit just like mtk without npu cores
lack of DLSS, it makes it less attractive like the same iPhone where it is available, otherwise why do you need 2 million points in benchmarks if you have nowhere to use them - work more on cooling I thought Samsung was saving on copper until I saw the pixel it was funny.

And to make it even shorter, they could hold the event at the San Jose convention center Apple used to use for WWDC.

And apropos of nothing in particular, why does Google always hold their Pixel launch events in New York, when they have plenty of large event spaces at their Mountain View headquarters for Google I/O?

nice to have big jump in battery life on the s23 series (especially for Europeans used to exynos) but cmon samsung, when do we get an ultrawide update? its been the same sensor for five generations already.. plus the 1/4" periscope that is kinda useless in dim lighting

                                        Man that's seriously BOLD Samsung!
Just after pleading for Apple to accept RCS into iMesssge yesterday now this?!

Nice taking a page from Jobs when he posed a picture holding up a middle finger with his back against IBM's business plaque on their HQ campus long ago.

Ooh yeah I'm gonna love this launch!

Now I'm hoping their S24 lineup box has something VERY premium and a tiny CHEEKY poke at Apple to coincide with the location of the launch 😉 this would make it an instant classic collectible.
