Say what your point is, don't just blabber stuff and add junk to your comments

Nokia is neck deep in wp. Unless they manage to sell 30-40 million wp devices in 2013 android will be the only option left.: - They still have their Asha Series which went through a major overhaul this week, so not everything is lost. WP is gaining traction slowly but surely.

Ur right thoug abt abondaning meego but nokia will not look at sailfish anymore:- What makes you think they won't?

My guess is that Google will be working on a brand new OS to compete with WP. It will be built from bottom to top with no lags. If it doesn't happen it will lose market to WP. Already am seeing lot people started using WP.

I agree on your point as well, the more then merrier and with Firefox OS, Tizen and Ubuntu planning to the join the party I think it will be a very healthy competition. Android made a great impact on mobile computing world, while its +ve's inspired many to follow, the -ve's at same time gave hope that there is still some place for improvement and others to take a mark by taking this opportunity as an advantage.

I seldom write here but I have followed the comment section from time to time. I am a fan of your writing. You are quite knowledgeable and practical. I agree with your view. People seldom see the thing as a whole. Also most people are just blindly follow others.

AnonD-125478, 13 May 2013cheers for u mate.... nokia maps is the best offline map f... moreFor people currently wanting a smartphone, only have two choices iOS and Android. In markets where carries subsidies work is able to embrace iOS. But in markets like India with no subsidies Android is the only way as the iOS devices are damn costly. Nokia and MS will have to work very hard to put WP in eyes and minds of people and so far they seem to succeeding with the release of 520, 620 and 720 here in India even with very less advertising. I think more options are more better for us customers.

The other side of me also thinks that Android has become a necessary evil, currently that's the place where money is and Nokia needs it desperately. So I think Nokia will give Android a chance in the future, but that will be after a year or so. But by that time if WP succeeds to make a dent in iOS or Android or both with a very respective market share then the chances of Nokia+Android are very slim.

Then there is something more named "Jolla and Sailfish": - Introduction of Android was the second reason Nokia was fell behind, their inability to react to Android on time was first. So that makes Android a sort of Nokia's enemy. The answer to that was Meego, Meego was amazing, with more polishing it would have been a super hit, but the dipping share and losses made it hard to continue its development from Nokia's own funds. Solution? Let it be free. Many think Meego was killed, but I think Meego was set free under Nokia's Bridge program which helped the N9 and Meego to form a separate company under the name of Jolla. This way the chances were that Jolla would survive as an independent entity supported somewhat by Nokia and other investors and when the time is right Nokia will start producing Sailfish devices same way they had signed up with Symbian back in their hay days. These Sailfish device will act as a direct open source competitor to Android.

So Nokia will have a premium closed source OS like iOS and an open source fully customizable OS like Android. Seems like a plan to me. Hope this is their strategy and they make it work. Lets see what time holds for Nokia and us.
