Sadly, Sony told me personally that they have no plans to release the Xperia ZR in the UK. Given that the massive Xperia Z is the suze of a brick and simply too big for many that seems a big error to me, not least when Sony's main rival, Samsung, uses a very different strategy by releasing models in every conceivable sector of the smartphone market. I should come as no surprise then that Samsung has gained by far the largest share of the Androind market, both in Britain and globally. So why does Sony do this - make protected smartphones and then not release them in some markets? Actually the same applies to HTC which has no plans I was told to release its water and dust resistant 'Butterfly' in the uK either. Don't ask me. Is it that UK networks don't want to stock such phones because they make such a killing on expensive insurance policies? Yet abouto 90% of smarphones in Japan come with water and dust protection, and they do just fine. One thing i do know is that the lack of choice (virtually none) in protected smartphones in Britain is frustrating and quite frankly very annoying.

I was having a hard time to get the S2 which I find perfect in looks, but trying to balance my taste, mind and budget. But When I first saw this phone, I was oh! this is it! The design, the size, and features are just what all I'm craving for a smartphone! Knowing that this is from my beloved Japanese company known for quality. I can't wait for this to go on sale in the country!

Why don't they boost up the hardware and make it a flagship device? It can clinch more customers if the performance is boost up. Like full HD screen, android version 4.2.2 (they will be updating it just after the launch) and more internal memory.

The bad thing for new Sony phones, just like Apple that it's very expensive, just like you are buying the 'NAME' itself, not the product. Unlike Samsung, they are making powerful smartphones but cheaper compared to the first two. And another thing, Sony smartphones are not that good in battery. I only want it's Bravia Engine and it's colorful, crystal-like screen.

I was truly impressed with this and may consider it as my 1st Sony phone since K750.
But after reading it's specs I must say rather dissapointed. Sony Xz is thin and I don't mind Zr a bit thicker, but in here they went too far.
Zr has smaller dimension yet too bulky compared to Xz...
10+mm thickness is a no go for me.
