This is not some Hollywood (TM) story where one company that keeps jacking up prices and launches basic beach devices with barely any iterative updates with each passing year becomes too big to fail.

This and the "Pro" visor are both DOA before they even hit the retail channels.
AR/VR/XR is finally moving towards lighter, sleeker and price sensitive alternatives for the consumer markets (industrial markets are a whole different ball game) but Tim Apple et al decided to create an over priced, ugly, bulky headbox to sell to their faitful sheep during the year of our lord 2024 CE.
NReal/XReal, Lenovo glasses, etc. are actually contributing to the advancement of wearable XR tech domain. Facebarf is doing it's own shady thing as usual, but is subsidizing the prices in lieu of the data mining it will inevitably perform on all users. But Fruit Inc jacked up the price, made the wearable an absolute jailed garden when it comes to device compatibility, picked a Huge+Hideous design, no doubt they will run their own telemetry and analytics on usage data & best of all...there's barely anything on the Apple ecosystem that this device can ace. Limited selection of games, same old movies, some XR type of virtual desktop...what exactly does APple's visors offer that the competition already doesn't?

Anonymous, 16 Oct 2023I hope those M3-powered MacBook Airs also have a base model... moreAs a investor I hope not, why would they bother to add more RAM, SSD memory when they can rip off extra 1000$ for extra 256GB SSD and extra 8GB RAM,base version cost 1000$ with 8/256GB and if you want more , 16/256GB it costs 2000$. Very good pricing, knowing that per 1GB quality RAM cost is around 1.5$, fast SSD 512gb cost around 35$. I hope they continue with very good profit margins, when they sell extra memory that has 50$ value for 1000$.It brings good value for investors.

Apple are not bringing the price down, it appears there will be two versions
The $3500 model and the "cheaper" version which you won't be able to get until 2025
Just like the iPhone Pro and the "cheaper" less features standards.
The $3500.price is a figure that obtains a high percentage markup

Because of the price this is doa.
When Meta Quest 3 is 499 dollars i doubt Apple can compete because they cannot drop the price of the non Pro Vision enough because nobody would then buy their most expensive Vision Pro.
And Meta is going to release 199 dollar Quest 3 "lite" next year.
I have Quest 3 and i seriosly doubt Vision Pro or that 2025 Vision headset could be so good that the price would be justified, probably it will be in some ways little bit better but without controllers serious gaming is not possible.
Content is king and there are already great games and apps for Quest 3, what Apple Vision lacks.

why when scrolling on gsmarena, bookmarks and address bar disappear??? tested on brave browser, chrome and safari, on arenaev does not happened
