I can see everthing in my phone clearly under direct sunlight with 400 nit brightness.
Don't know why others can't see.
I mainly use map, some communication apps, messages, banking etc. under direct sunlight.
Entertainment like things i prefer not to do under direct sunlight execpt watching sports match like things.

Haha it's funny that I am saying I cannot use my phone in direct sunlight but you are claiming that I can. I don't know whether I have to belive myself or you. I have a phone which Samsung claimed to have 1300 or something plus nits of brightness under sunlight. Since I know it's not working out I welcome this higher brightness level.

Poco M5S had 0 flickering which means its something possible to achieve especially with samsung's advanced tech but they truly give zero Fk 😠
btw screen dimming is not a solution coz the colors become less accurate, the screen should natively be safe for the eyes

Anonymous, 18 Oct 2023No, we are just using the phone in day light. Have you ever... moreBut the current highest brightness is already more than enough. If you take the phone outside, you'll see that you can easily read it. The problem is that they must dim the brightness after a very short time to avoid burn-ins. And this problem cannot be solved with always higher brightness. The OLEDs are the problem.

Samsung will bring LTPO displays to S24 & S24+ since they will use again Exynos in some regions. With this solution, the screens will consume less, which is the biggest headache of Exynos compared to Snapdragon. Using Exynos will greatly reduce the production price of these models, which made it possible to install this type of screen in smaller models as well. They do nothing by chance.

all current s23 models have the same variable refresh rate between 24-120Hz based on tests. LTPS and LTPO do not matter. none of them dial down to 10Hz or 1Hz. iphone15 brought pro model brightness to vanilla model. that is the reason all s24 models will have the same peak brightness.

About time tbh. For the vanilla 6.2"/6.1" version, it should have LTPO panel in the first place.
