justasmile, 21 Oct 2023How is ColorOS clunky?ColorOS is not clunky, but its RAM Management is horrible, especially when buying a 12/16GB Ram Phone, and its derivatives (RealmeUI and ColorOS Post-13) aren't any better either. but hey, I guess that's how the OS works as some OPPO Users Say.
take what I said with a grain of salt.

I have a headache when looking at OLED screens for more than 2 minutes. Unfortunately, only small percentage of people suffers from this issue so companies don't care about it.

Is that vapor chamber the reason the phone is so large (for the screen size) and weighs so much? Just to cool that toasty Exynos?
Man, Samsung premium mid range offerings this year just sucks.

justasmile, 21 Oct 2023Yeah. Don't mislead people to not buying such phones.I mean, it is better than the Reno 10 Pro+ in terms of pricing, I'd rather pay 549$ than 849$ for a more premium phone, better User Experience that doesn't use 3 Quarters of my RAM even when Idle, 12MP Ultrawide, and a capable enough chipset that is still pretty much worse than the 8+ Gen 1 but is still capable.

If that was the case every phone manufactorer would use LCD on their flagship phones. LCD is also cheaper to make than Amoled so, phone manufacturers could have made more profits by using LCD panels. But they don't because LCD is inferior to Amoled. Only downside of Amoled is possible burn in. Other than that, Amoled is better in every other way. Amoled displays are thinner than LCD displays, so phone makers can put bigger battery or make their phones thinner. Amoled has better contrast, more brightness, better sunlight legibility, more efficient so uses less power. Also, under display fingerprint scanners and cameras can't be used in an LCD display.

OLED has better contrast, really good viewing angle, better color reproduction, no bleeding in the cutout, much thinner, and lighter than a LCD.

Anonymous, 20 Oct 2023No it is not. A efficient device will generate less heat wh... moreEfficiency is regarding losses when converting energy into a work.
The more work is created, more efficient the device is.
One machine might perform more work for given energy input than second and thus be more efficient.
And thus consume less energy for same work.
Let's say 80% of energy for the same work.
But then comes third machine which performs twice the work as second for 25% more energy.
Third one is actually the most efficient, even if nominally consumes most energy.
