This is excellent news because it is one step closer to installing a custom ROM so that these stupid Pixel phones can finally have 5G SA/ 5G NSA, ViLTE and VoNR (or at least VoLTE support) in unsupported countries (99% of the world where it was never released.)

Currently, ALL Pixel phones from 2020 (Pixel 5, Pixel 4a) up to the latest Pixel 8/8 Pro (2023) do not support 5G, ViLTE and VoNR/VoLTE when purchased and/or used in an unsupported country because of INTENTIONAL SOFTWARE BLOCKING by Google which the latter denies and lies to its teeth repeatedly blaming the local network service provider for the problem instead of the Pixels' blocking software. Good luck international travelers to ever having 5G, VoLTE /VoNR, or ViLTE when traveling to an unsupported country with a Pixel phone.

Installing a custom ROM is the only solution to travel to or use of Pixel phones in unsupported countries, and an unlocked bootloader makes it one step easier and faster. So yeah, excellent news for unsupported countries which Google's Pixel software blocks.

there are no security problem with unlocked bootloader because for use any financial app or just add payment to play store you need to setup some kind of password and after that yours data is encrypted.

Also, the Titanium Powerbooks had paint chipping and stuff, there were always issues, and the same is true with other manufacturers. People look with rose-tinted glasses back at LG, but the LG G3-5 era had lots of bootloops, same for the LG Nexus 5X. Just as an example

But if you want to use GrapheneOS on Pixel phones, you still need to unlock the bootloader. So I really can't see this being a concerning news anyway.
