Looks like iphone design copy; they have no mind to think their own.

Supus, 24 Oct 2023Too vivid or saturated? It just seems to make my children's skin look really weird. Maybe I am too used to the Pixel look.

Anonymous, 24 Oct 2023huh? default filter wont have Leica enabledThey do of course have it enabled. It's a choice between Authentic and Vibrant, but there is no way to disable the Leica processing.

They are finally making bezels thin enough that they don't have to photoshop them like they used to, lol. Still, not symmetrical which I think is more important than some fraction of a millimeter.

KondriX, 26 Oct 20231. If I can do it directly on the phone when why not? Even ... more'I really don't understand why some people are against features and choices and accept all the crap the manufacturers is giving to them'

-> People just have different priorities in what they want in a smartphone, for me, I always rank chipset, screen, battery life and design (bezels, thickness, finish) at the top.
I am not accepting all the crap from manufacturers because they do me a solid and leave out all the crap like audio jack, removable battery and FM radio (I will even come into agreement about your SD card point cos you can use hybrid/dual sim whenever needed, I would certainly use it for dual rather than hybrid). All the rest aren't important at all compared to my top needs.

Coming back to Xiaomi 14, some people don't like the design, but I think it looks pretty decent, the main attraction is definitely SD 8 Gen 3 which is way better than A17 Pro (Link here for more knowledge: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzTrDyoLHTg). It may not have all the minor features (minor for me of course) that you want, but I still think it will do well once it enters global markets.

justasmile, 25 Oct 2023But not modular. What exactly do you mean by modular? On those with removable batteries it was pretty easy to get to the screen, camera module and so on, because not everything was glued hard as it is today. Or you mean something like the Fairphone?

Even more, you can make the camera to save directly on the card. Again, having the slot you're not forced to use it but it's there în case you need it.
                  2. So quality is just for cheaper phones, and not for flagships? Where is logic?
                  3. No really exactly, plus FM Radio is good in case of a natural cataclysm.
                  4. What removable batteries has to do with bulkiness really? I don't see the point, really? It's the same back, just removable? There are phones with removable battery and are still slim.
                  5. Great
                  6. LG failed because of their pricing and lack of marketing, I've rarely seen an ad of an LG phone while Samsung billboards are everywhere. Otherwise their phones were one of the most feature-packed.

I agree that not every phone should be the same but I really don't understand why some people are against features and choices and accept all the crap the manufacturers is giving to them.

Looks very much like the Xiaomi 13, which is a good thing. That's a nice looking and sturdy phone. I only find it a bit unfortunate that the display size is the same. I would've liked it just a tad bigger, around 6,5". A display size in between the 13 and 13 Pro would be perfect for me.

                                        6. Where is LG now? 😂 I wonder why they stopped or never got the market share that they aimed for with all the requirements that fulfilled your needs. Samsung on the other hand can afford to make a one off series but I can guarantee that these models barely contribute to the majority of Samsung's global market share

With all your points, you have options that will have a tradeoff obviously, it doesn't make much sense to make a phone in 2023 that is bulky just to have all your functions and remains 'just an option' for people who do not use it, not a smart strategy at all for companies (other than the giants in the industry who can afford to do that)
