Apple's subscription services get a price hike, including Apple TV+

While other services see a first hike in nearly 4 years, Apple TV+ got one just 12 months ago.

When a new series is coming, I would wait until either it’s finished or have enough episodes to fit into a month. I paid for the month, binge it, unsubscribe. Rinse and repeat until the next thing I am interested in.

        But if FOMO is more important, then pay up. 😂

          Once you opt for subscription, 50% folks are tempted to keep it going.
          It's a vicious cycle. Once you opt for sub to watch the series you are interested in, more would be released in that month, and you are forced to keep the sub going to watch it and again new content next month and so on....
          Learning: Ignorance is bliss. What you don't know, you won't feel FOMO for it.

            Giving $20 to Netflix every month for the 5 movies I watch in a month is absurdly not even close to the same value which I get for each of my dollar when I buy other things.

              There are so many free subscription services these days (with ads obviously) and so much free content to keep one engaged.
              I fail to understand whats the need to give hard earned money to Netflix and Apple.
              I unsubscribed from Netflix last July, and I keep getting emails every 4 days from Netflix asking me to join back for their cheapest $7 plan.
              AppleTV+ is so salty, that they immediately stop the free trial service on unsubscription even though there are many days left in free trial.

                  People you need to understand that the power is with us. If we don't subscribe to their way of thinking, they will have no customers and imagine what that would do to prices...they would drop significantly to win customers back. If the price hikes were reasonable .50 cent to $1 okay, but in a year 80% !! To all the apple fans , this is not a matter of people poor vs slightly better than poor, this a matter of corporate greed and they don't care about you, just give them your money. As I stated before, Apple TV content is limited, Disney+ and HULU have far more for a similar price. Apple is not selling as many iPhones any more, so they are going to turn up the prices on their service to make up the difference. What message will you send to Apple, "I am sheep and will do what you say" or "heck no, price too darn high and you need to do better".....think about it, Apple has never ask for your opinion, they just dictate the terms. What message will you send?

                    Besides, real poor people would just go for free Youtube or spotify. Most pirates are not poor people, they are rich people who can afford internet with decent bandwidth for their torrents. So don't kid yourself.

I'm just afford with promo if there is movie that i want watch at the cinemas. Like other i'll search on internet there bunch of it. And also entertainment each peoples are different.

                                    That’s alotta money.....Apple Arcade games are not that good...... Apple TV is not good.....Apple NEWS is now same as Amazon Prime....lol

                                      Well price hikes seem to be in season, the past few months have seen increases (either implemented or announced) to Netflix, Disney+, Spotify, YouTube Premium, PlayStation Plus, Xbox game pass, just to name a few.

                                      Of course when Apple do it, it’s because they are eeeeeevil…🤷
