What is it with my Z4, the camera settings is 5mp but specifications rate it as 20.7 what do i do to make the 20.7 work.

So... are the issues with the post processing and heavy JPEG compression now solved with this firmware update? Or is it still troublesome.
And if so, also for the ZR and ZL models, or only Z.

Same thing happened to the Xperia SP sometime recently. Image quality is WAAAY better now. Feels like a different phone.

Thanks guys in Aus for the info I'm with Kogan and haven't received the updates. I got one a long while ago over a month but not the good ones the .253 or .307. I'm using PC companion each day to check as well as OTA from the phone. Oh well hopefully it will show up soon.

Bought Xperia Z in Yangon, Myanmar (Burma) yesterday, (10/6/2013.) Sony Service Centre updated same day to Build No. 1.0.1.1.A.1.253. As I did not have a chance to use previous version, am not able to comment on improvements. But screen colour and photos are far better than my old "Guinea pig" Xperia S.

Just installed the update using Sony PC companion. On Virgin Mobile in Australia. New Colors look nicer, home screen has deeper blacks, and no longer looks washed out/grey which is great! black bar at bottom is also better than the old grey. Wifi seems to be more reliable so far. Great work sony!

I got the update notification soon after turning it on out of the box. The phone has turned off data by itself a couple of times. I think it did it when the battery dropped below 20%. I'll pay more attention next time to work out what triggers it.

Really excellent update and one that if the phone had been released with this firmware the reviews would have been a lot higher even. The display colours look alot brighter and vivid and viewing angles look better. Camera pictures look alot better. Great job Sony. Shows me Sony is serious about their phones now.

lix, 22 May 2013im from malaysia too.but why mine said already have a lates... moreI live in Malaysia too. I've got the notification of new firmware update in the notification bar itself. I connected my phone to WiFi and press on the notification and it downloaded the software automatically. Then, I just pressed install after the software had been downloaded. It took few minutes, i guess and I got the 253 update! Hope this will help!

I Love the new update, at first i was hesitant to do it, i almost got my phone bricked, but i fixed it through sony pc companion..
The camera is now sharper i love the vividness of the pictures.. thanks for the update sony..
