Its so hilarious reading all the comments from people who will pretty much never buy the phone anyways. But just for the hell of it, here's my take:
I sincerely wish the big tech companies stop hogging up all of TSMC's ship allocations so that they can make room for other sectors that need advanced chips at a lower price. Like automotive infotainment systems and next-gen avionics systems.
The smartphone market is reaching saturation now. People have less of a reason to upgrade, despite the yearly phone releases. I just upgraded to a Pixel 8 after using my S8 for 6 years. I know people who still use their iPhone 8s and 7s.
Its time to start giving less of a crap about smartphones and pay more attention to tech that can actually bring about meaningful change to society.

coyz, 04 Nov 2023for 5 yrs now, samsung has been recycling its design in mos... moreI seriously wonder just how someone can have so few and insignificant issues in their life, that they end up being mad about design variety on roughly chocolate bar sized device that basically no more than electronics sandwiched between a camera and a display. Are you just staring at the back of your phone all day or are you actually going to use it? It clearly has exceeded your needs long ago. "Hard earned money" sounds like a far reach, given where you put your priorities for a purchase. Sounds to me it's just pocket change you don't care for.

DBS, 04 Nov 2023The S24 series will be the same bunch of featureless garbag... moreDude, you look like a clown. Samsungs flagships have consistently been good, the only bad thing is the Exynos version sold in half of the world, the S23 series being excluded.

Take your time Samsung, with the rumors of Exynos returning half of the world lost interest before these phones even released.

Not just Apple and Samsung but Xiaomi too after mid 2021.
This is also applicable to the BBK group

for 5 yrs now, samsung has been recycling its design in most of their phone series. Very well copied from Apple. You will never get a penny of my hard-earned money, samsung with you boring designs no matter how try to trick me with purportedly new software or OS under the hood of outdated designs.

K, 04 Nov 2023So removing existing features and changing one ui interface... moreThere's not too much Samsung can improve today, without raising the prices beyond Apple's. We've crossed the minimum for even a mid-class device to be sufficient for 99% of the people.
That being said, I'm happy with my S23+ as it is and will likely keep it for the next 4 years. And the reason I got it to begin with was not the screen, nor the CPU, nor OneUI, but the battery, the drive and the hope that it will not become obsolete in 2 years. Also, UFS with 512GB of space and 110h endurance rating is a must if you want to keep and use some multimedia and maps on the device on the go...

DBS, 04 Nov 2023The S24 series will be the same bunch of featureless garbag... moreDunno, the S23 Ultra is pretty good. Have been using it for almost a year now and it's really a whole package that I can compare to Apple's offerings. At some things Apple is still better, but it's very close. Year to year, they are all boring and too expensive for what they are, but if you upgrade phone every 3-5 years, the improvements are more visible.

Mills, 03 Nov 2023Make the S24U a flat panel and keep the S Pen. And about On... moreCurved screen also less durable than flat ones.
The replacement cost is also higher.
This is one aspect to be considered as pixel problem is common nowadays on samsung nowadays.
Why can't they make durable one like galaxy s7.

Anton el duro, 03 Nov 2023Let's see what new Samsung comes to contribute, I hope... moreSo removing existing features and changing one ui interface are the only new changes you are hoping for? Wow! If all samsung fans are/have been like this.....no wonder samsung hasn't been changing much in the S series in the last five years.

The S24 series will be the same bunch of featureless garbage that Samsung has been releasing since the S20, all of which have been massive FLOPS for the company.
Yet the buffoon TM Roh will do it again. Didn't repeating the exact same thing over and over again expecting different results had a name?

Mills, 03 Nov 2023Make the S24U a flat panel and keep the S Pen. And about On... moreIf OneUI hadn't existed, your Android tablet would still look like a giant phone. Your phone would still look like a two dimensional bland and featureless mess. Your watch would still be dead ecosystem with zero users.
OneUI is what defines Android.
