I hate running out of it. That's why I have a 256GB phone with a MicroSD slot and a laptop with 2TB.

But it... moreiPhones have notably low storage (although the situation has improved a bit in recent years) to push everything into the cloud, where they charge a subscription, and make bank doing it. I'd wager that it costs about $3/mo for a large company to host 1TB of data (this is a wild guess though), but Apple charges that price for 200GB.

      Look at this. A reasonable markup on higher storage rather than an astronomical one. It's about a 30-40% markup from SSDs, which is what should be happening everywhere else. Not the greedy 1000%+ markups.

          I have to say, even if you have that big of a storage doesn't mean anything if you using it for media consumption(bad display), gaming (bad processor) or camera (bad sensor)
          You need to at least have decent everything to enjoy that big storage..

Otherwise the phones would not be able to store any data and reset to factory settings every time they are turned off. Fun fact, some early android phones from the 2000s had an SD card slot as their only source of storage. So you could upgrade the storage by putting a bigger SD card in it. But if you removed it, your phone had no storage. Later, that SD card was soldered on instead of slotted, it’s called eMMC (embedded multimedia card)

                  could've been better with dimensity 7050 (1030) instead of rebranded 700. anyway, with 512gb storage, i assume average users whose do not game but consuming on much media, taking photos and video often, would use it up to 4-6 years. if it has hardware gyro there should be EIS for video as well. i hope oppo won't cheap out on gyro.

                    And use that extra RAM to store the crapware the phone itself already has!

                      Besides the D6020 chipset (D820 better), UFS 2.2 and 90hz, this phone is sufficient (for me)

                        The nanometer keeps your phone optimized and efficient. We are at 4/3nm size with phones still having 5-8nm. The size that sounds cool is 4nm. booster clock speed is the most important in a chipset. These cores are going to do most of the work (the booster cores are the second fastest cores in a octa-core chipset). And theres the transistors. Chipsets now have 14-20 billion transistors.

                            I like how everyone likes more bigger storage, ram and stuff but forgets about the most important thing in the phone... the chipset, this one determines how long your phone's gonna last not the stupid updates support
