...compare them to ARM's - even dual-core A15's.

I have the razr i and the amount of incompatible apps I've run too could be counted on one hand. The problem is that you might find the app incompatible when you look it up on the store, but just get the app from anywhere and you'll find it does work. .

end of arm?
big player on smartpjone market?
???Not even close.
Intel is having a hard time porting those energy hungry atoms to a decent mobile platform.
Even if Intel achieve such a prowess, I doubt that ARM would rest and watching Intel taking the whole mobile market alone, no, they won't.
I thing of x86s in mobile market more like a dubious alternative choice then a real threat to the ARM architecture dominance.

Because windows probably won't be ported to it. It takes more than a proc to run an o/s. Android runs a linux kernel which in theory can run on a in Intel pc, given that there are plenty of desktop versions of linux. By the same token you can theoretically run desktop windows, therefore presumably mobile windows (although different kernels) on this phone or in turns any other android phone if you have the patience to cook up a pretty thorough o/s. Good luck getting hardware support from the manufacturers tho. Writing the all the drivers by yourself should be a decent challenge for anyone with a lot of patience/determination. Most of the stuff you need is written in C. Let us know how you get on
Or buy the android version and live without tiles.
