Great finaly will apple reduce charging from 2 hours to 1:59:00.
Will not be able to take nap and second coffee until my phone charges. Nooooo thats not a fair play.

Apple is waiting when all others innovate and then buy them for cheap to make it there own and then come out with there innovative new technology as a news to brag about it.
Are they doing something like crystal batteries on there own or something that is something new that we already dont have ? No they are not as they still try to use the existing technology and change some specs on them and call it there own. Like all there CPU's that are just ordered for there specs on how much clocked are the cores and how these are arranged in the chip while Snapdragon and Mediatek are the chip makers that actually innovate and invent new chips just like Intel and AMD
Also i can see Apple do the different charging speeds for different price like they do with there storage where 128GB is standard model and 256GB adds 100 on the price they would have like 15W charging as standard model then for 100 more for 30W and 200 more for 45W from the standard model

If Apple doesn't even have features like "bypass charging" on their iPhones or iPads, they should have at least a highly unique feature called "smart charging" where charging automatically cuts off when iPhone battery hits 100% because the only problem why battery lifespan & original maximum capacity degrades so fast is because of overcharging pass the 100% threshold. I would pay even if for a higher price just to get a highly unique charger that can automatically turn off charging when smartphone battery hits 100%. Now that is revolutionary for you, Apple! If Apple really is a pro-inventor & is a creationist, they should have add unique extraordinary devices more than any consumers could have expected & imagined!

Koh Dong-Jin, 07 Nov 2023Could you tell me more about that? Huawei has published a patent for silicon carbon composite material, its production method and lithium ion battery roughly 3 years ago. Could be longer but the publication I found is from 2021. The P60 Art(china only model) and Mate X3 and X5(chinese versions) have launched with larger capacity batteries described as silicon carbon batteries. Also the chinese version of the Honor Magic5 pro appears to be using the same battery tech and battery is denser at around 5450mah vs the global version with standard 5100mah. For comparison also the normal P60 pro comes with 4800mah and the P60 Art with Silicon-carbon 5100 mah

i've been hearing for over 10 years now about new breakthrough materials and quantum leaps in battery technology that are coming soon, so far nothing has happened except fast charging

My only comment is that Apple has for years restricted the pro version to 86 hour, year in year out.

LOl. Apple is “working”? Probably more like Apple found out a vendor with newer battery tech and was looking to make a deal. Apple doesn’t make anything, and many of their components are actually improvements invented by the vendor, ie Sony for the camera sensors, Foxconn for the manufacturing techniques, etc.
Heck, Apple cannot even make their own software. iTunes, Siri, Final Cut, all were bought.
