Apple said the Apple Pencil 2 uses electromagnetic waves to send a message or something to the iPad to know where the pen is. It also needs to be charged because of Bluetooth. When the iPad and Apple Pencil is paired, the pencil can do commands/actions for the iPad (tap to undo/redo, etc.)

                                  Oh how the companies keep copying each other in order to earn more PROFITS!

                                  Not gonna be surprised if in the coming future. If apple stops including cables in their boxes. And starts selling braided cables at $99. Android would follow. And will sell RGB braided cables at $99.

                                    Can someone explain why the Apple Pencil needs a battery and this doesn’t? What is the advantage to having a battery (obvious disadvantage is inconvenience of charging)
