The only thing spookier than the monsters is the frame rate.

Mills, 12 Nov 2023Hopefully iPad Air uses A17 Pro as it's a middle groun... moreUsing a heavily optimized benchmark for apple devices to put performance in perspective regarding real world scenarios like this game is quite pointless, as you can see how horribly the results are performance-wise.

In passmark the a17 pro reaches 12'100 cpumarks which is slower than a ryzen 5-1600 and i5-1235u and only slightly above the snapdragon 8 3cx. Which clearly resembles most real world results more realistic. Also, the ryzen 3600xt is a nearly 4 years old cpu and reaches 18'000 cpumarks.

Regarding games it's even more pointless to compare geekbench results, because fps heavily depend on the GPU as most current CPUs most of the time won't be the bottleneck.

So using geekbench outside the fruit fairytale world is just plain wrong and pointless cherrypicking. Imo it's an useless benchmark and even more so to use it as some sort of standard in reviews.

LOL. Trillion dollar company showing off the exact game on its big keynote, and couldn't even work with the developer to optimize the game on its flagship phone.

Craig should be fired. Forstall got booted out for Apple Maps. Why is Craig still on the job after years of bugfest iOS releases since iOS15?

Apple decided to release it in this state, as much as people hate Capcom, Apple is ultimately who pushed the game to release in this state, to demonstrate their new chip and because they needed the release as yet another thing to sell their new generation with.

Hopefully iPad Air uses A17 Pro as it's a middle ground for the iPad Pro and iPad (vanilla).

Also, to give you a image of how powerful A17 Pro is, in Geekbench 6, it does slightly better than the Ryzen 5 3600XT in multi-core.

i dont understand what is the big deal all of a sudden
pc ports have been available for years
just look at grid autosport also available for android
runs a lot better even on older phones (minimum is iphone 7) and on newer when u put graphics to high u get better graphics quality and double the fps :)

everyone will forget big games on a17pro same way they forgot about big games on a10
