Therefore, the effective lens diameter = focal length /f-number is slightly smaller in comparison to competitors.

The teaser images you have posted (I looked for higher resolution versions of the teaser images) state 70mm f/2.6 as well as 70mm f/4.5 as well as 140mm f/2.6. So, apparently it has a variable aperture and my guess is that 140mm is achieved by a crop from the high resolution mode (if it's a Quad Bayer sensor).
At 240mm or 360mm it will be usually worse than a Pixel 7 Pro or S23 Ultra due to a worse focal length/pixel size ratio as well as a worse focal length/f-number ratio.

Oppo even advertises 483% more light sensitivity for the periscope of its next phone and this specification is very unrealistic (I have calculated it) for telephoto cameras with a small field of view.
When it comes to the camera hardware, the image quality of distant objects mainly relies on three factors:
1. Ratio focal length / pixel size: Currently, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and Pixel 7 Pro offer the best values in this regard.
2. Effective lens diameter: Currently, the Huawei P60 Pro's periscope offers the largest effective lens diameter: 6.93mm, though the Galaxy K Zoom offered 6.98mm
3. Color filter array and demosaicing: Bayer high resolution produces sharper results than Quad Bayer high resolution modes, but when the lens isn't very sharp due to diffraction, the difference should be neglectable.

OnePlus become boring. Especially since it is no longer a competitor of iPhone and Samsung. Isn't it a price killer. There is Vivo, Oppo and OnePlus? If only they had something that others don't have - like before launcher, a good one, a card slot, a 3.5mm jack, maybe a great manual mode like Sony ? iPhone and Samsung are number one together, Vivo and Oppo take better photos then OP. Sony has its eg superb manual, what does OP have?!

It is just imagination of those that still do not accept the national security matter when still claim with zero evidence it was all demanded by Apple. While not explaning while Zte was sanctioned for while too and has had their telecon structure removed from many places.
They somehow think a giant corporation would suffer sanctions without any evidence that made government do it.
