This might seem great on paper, but this is not the first time Samsung doing this.
Galaxy M62 used Exynos 9825 (same as Note10) but its performance is underwhelming because the lack of proper cooling system.

... And we all know hot hot SD 888 can be.

        Alex 94, 11 Nov 2023Sd 860 was and its still great soc. At least 70% power of sd 888.sd 860 was only used in poco x3 pro. unfortunately, those devices are prone to frying motherboards, or even deadboot.

              Sd888 without proper cooling solutions is a disaster waiting to happen... Very interesting Samsung want to clear those out ... Correct me if I was wrong but 888 was produced on Samsung plant right? Lol

                it smokes sd778 out of the water in cpu, gpu, memory, display resolution and technologies support.
                at comparable price, there is no chipset even half as better than this.

                        If Samsung wanted a processor with outdated flagship performance, they're already manufacturing the Tensor 3.

                          What will it be? A54 with weaker E1380 but ingress protection and a HDR10+ 120hz AMOLED or M44 with a faster SD888 but no ingress and a PLS LCD?

                            This is HUGE. An SD888 is easily 10 times more powerful than the Exynos chip that lurks inside Samsung's entry phones. You can't even make the argument that the SD888 throttles; even when it does, it's much more powerful than most chipsets at this price.

                              Really a very strange device. V-shaped notch display in a midranger, although it's almost the end of 2023 (when even entry-levels have punch hole), but with a powerful chipset but two crap cameras...

                                Snapdragon 888 with two 2mp cameras on the back? Oh, come on...
