It does appear to be very rugged, unsurprisingly.

Anonymous, 16 Nov 2023Would buy if it had SD 7+ gen 2. Never going to happen.Unihertz Tank 3 is on board :)

GAMIR3DH, 14 Nov 2023Galaxy S8 active.going based on pictures alone, the s8 active and xcover 7 have the same sized side bezels, with the xcover 7 having thinner top & bottom bezels. Also unrelated, key differences (not limited by what was possible at the time) make the Xcover better than the active devices, such as it having a bigger screen, a removable battery, being dockable with charging pins, programmable buttons, and is also much cheaper at launch

unplugged, 15 Nov 2023is the replacable battery still a thing? It should be. The hypocrisy is disgusting. Everyone is screaming about climate change and yet disposable crap is encouraged more than ever. Wireless headphones, disposable phones with non-removable batteries.
Guess climate is only important when they can impose restrictions or taxes on you.

Nice to finally get more news of this. I hope the speculation of a Pro version pans out too.

joe nodden, 14 Nov 2023Has anything changed with burn in though? Of course it has. When S3 was around, burn-in was a huge deal and everyone was talking about it, there were tons of complains. You see nothing of the kind these days despite the fact that most phones now use OLEDs.

If they used OLED instead of LCD, that would drastically bring up the prices of repairs, which are fairly common when you have hundreds of these devices deployed and in use. If Samsung knows what's best for them, they will keep the LCD.
