I bet you apple restricted wireless charging in all cars that don't support apple car play. Until GM decides to play ball and re-enable it, apple is flexing their muscle

You don't have to believe me, that's my experience and ever since I went fast charging I haven't looked back. Those 2 phones that I've mentioned however were the iPhone SE (2020) which went from 100% battery health down to 85% in less than a year, even though I charged it with the 5W charging brick that came with it, the other was an S8 that I charged with it's 15W charger that it came with. Yes, the early units of the SE (2020) came with a charging brick and even an earphone.

We have phones with overcharge limitator for years. I had it even on my brick Xperia XZ from 2016. So which phone was it? And in what era?

Comment, 17 Nov 2023Worse in what way?Worse for battery health, my battery life significantly worsened with slow charging on 2 phones within a year, but I had no issues with 120W fast charging after 2,5 years.

I can yes, but I personally don't care about certifications because in my experience slow charging (usually overnight) has always been worse than fast charging.

DarlingYext, 16 Nov 2023This! People talk down on chinese phones with their fast wi... moreWell, sing and rejoice because Apple is just an fashion brand, right? Right.

Anyways, I would gladly use ulra fast charging if TUF Rheinland provide us with some certification for what companies claimed for their products.

Please answer me this. Why would a phone brand pay for certification of battery saftey and not impact on the battery life? I mean... it's great to know our batteries wont explode but isn't that just common sense? They need us alive.. lol.
Why would they pay up to TUF R. to certify only one thing when people just want to know is there any meaningfull impact on battery life when we use the ultra fast charging over time. They could just pay up for that other thing too and everything would be okay as people have more trust if there is a 3rd party certification. But no. No company with ultra fast charging speeds has done that. Why? Why do we only have what companies showed us? Why do we have to rely on our personal beliefs? Why don'y they make it CLEAR and TRANSPARENT? Why? Why are they paying for certification at all? I would like to believe in all that, but I just don't. Can you understand and accept my opinion?

Please share some opinions by answering these questions. Sure, I'm aware I'm probably in minority here, because I like to have my device for long as I can, not like many.. I guess.. 'nerds and geeks" in here who are switching to their new device every couple of months or even days just to show off in comment section about their fastest... Something. They don't care for device or battery longetivity as much as I do.

Imagine Apple removes the charging port. People who keep blindly supporting removal of features will be happy until the problems arrive on their doorstep, then still defend the company because they don't want to admit they were wrong.

It's a never ending cycle. The worst part is that other companies will likely follow.
