notafanboy, 16 Nov 202310x is useless for most scenariosno, it's not. I'm most of the times using 10x+ zoom and it's really handy to have it on my S23 Ultra.

Saying it is useless most of the time could be true for some people, but not for everyone, but I agree a 5x is more often used indeed. I can't wait for a phone to offer continuous optical zoom from like 4x-10x!

Basically, they will all upgrade to the newer sensor.

              Xiaomi for exemple with its own HyperOS, little by little they are separating from them.

              Next, they gonna built its own chipset.

                  What's interesting is that Sony's IMX989 seems to get abandoned by the new upcoming 2024 generation of cameraphone flagships. Even the Xiaomi 14 pro uses a newer, smaller sensor and now, Honor is going to avoid the 989 as well.
                  Maybe it doesn't have a favorable orice/performance ratio...

                        This going to be the best camera phone of the next year at least i hope so.
                        S24 ultra or Pixel pro 9 can go nuts honestly.

                            Also an very important photography website (that reviews 📷) rated it above pixels, iphones and galaxies.
                            Only ohone to get 5.0/5.0 from them.

                                  Just hope they stick to curve back phones. All this boxy sharp edges phones are so annoying to hold.

                                    1" sensor are pointless because the entire sensor is not being used, it's too big. Stacked sensors makes more sense.

                                      robi10101298, 16 Nov 2023useless if it still has 3x optical zoom and not 10x... I like x10, but x3 has better focal length for portraits. Better than X1 and x10.
                                      I want to see both with good big sensors.
