Welcome news to have more good mid-range Snapdragon SOCs on the market. Shame their naming convention is absolute garbage for the 7 series and has no consistency to speak of.

Support for FHD+ displays at 168hz? What an unusual refresh rate. Why not just stick to 120hz, 144hz, or 165hz? Don't get me wrong, the more the merrier, but why 168hz specifically?

Very interesting. Can be a super replacement for my Snapdragon 720G.

I bet that they're comparing with the snapdragon 7S which is SLOWER than its predecessor. Just get the 7 plus gen 2 if you want a "beast". It's basically the same as an sd8+g1 but with a bit slower graphics.

Qualcomm please focus more on power efficiency not how to break scores in some benchmark.

Even after it was released, still no one could compete with the performance of the Poco F5.. Because this is below 7+ Gen 2. And what's even more amazing is that the Poco F5 is the only phone in the global market that has this SoC. Poco F series holds the record since 2018.

Based on calculations it seems to have close performance to the Dimensity 9000.
