Anonymous, 20 Nov 2023I still have a couple brand new 2.5 Floopy drive I wonder ... moreI've never heard about 2.5" floppy.
      I know :
      5"1/4 (old PC XT, CBM128...)
3"1/2 (Mac, Atari ST, Amiga, PC...)
      3" (Amstrad CPC6128/664)
I've heard about 8" but never seen a single one...

OfficialTRider, 19 Nov 2023they should call this 7300. the gap between 9300 and 8300 i... morelol it would be even more absurd if they call this 7300. We have the dimensity 7200 performing at geekbench 2400 points which is the level of dimensity 1080 (only the gpu of 7200 is OK) , not mentioning dimensity 7050 is exactly dimensity 1080. Not even beat 6 gen 1 on CPU. Putting a 8+ level chip into such a tier of e- waste as dimensity 7000 series would be a joke.

justasmile, 18 Nov 2023So you're also going to say the 8+ gen 1 is close to 8... moreWell it is faster than 8+ gen1 in multi core and it's basically almost 8gen2 score and in single score performs like 8+gen1, so very fast chipset

they should call this 7300. the gap between 9300 and 8300 is way too wide. There needs to be something with 720 and 520 cores.

By the second month of having a new phone, you wont even notice the camera design on the back and tbh since this new design of having a big rectangle around the sensors, every phone's back looks ugly.

Vegetaholic, 18 Nov 2023Lol, score close to 8 gen 2 territory, wtf are you talking about. So you're also going to say the 8+ gen 1 is close to 8 gen 2 (it's true tho)

Meanwhile the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 got their scores leaked and are:
Single Core: 1139 (just on par with SD 870)
Multi core: 3375 (Even below Dimensity 8100)

So that means that SD 7 Gen 3 has no X core inside.
And GPU wise in the ballpark of SD 865

Anonymous, 17 Nov 2023Why x3, a715, a510 and g615? All of these are over a year ... moreFirst of all, this is for mid-range phones, they don't necessarily need the latest and greatest tech so they can sell these phones at more affordable prices.

Second, while it's a last-gen tech, A715/A510 combo is still a decent performer. It's an upgrade from A78/A55 CPU Dimensity used in the last three 8000-series SoC, and as you might see, it performs just as good, if not better, than SD 8+ Gen 1, amd actually not that far from Qualcomm's last year flagship.

At least it's not the earlier A710/A510 combo that proven to run hot. GPU side though is kinda disappointing, but eh it's a midranger's chip after all.

Now, on the chip, this should be a champion on efficiency because of the cores at 1.6. Majority of tasks will use these cores

Im not talking about upper midrange alone because that segment is mostly dominated by previous gen flagships as you can see,so upper midrange chips donot have the opportunity to even appear in that many phones in first place so their market share is gonna be limited in future also if things don't change dramatically.

                                        That's why i termed uper-midrange & flagship as a single segment.

Sure D8000,D8100,D8200 are as competition to 7+Gen2 but in reality 7+Gen2 is an odd one from Qualcomm.
Its basically a nerfed version of 8+gen1 flagship,so we're probably not gonna see future refresh of this chip.

Don't get me wrong,Mediatek is making awesome chips but they need to convice more phone brands to use their chips in the upper midrange & flagship segment.

So on the end it's painfully clear that Quacomm still dominate the upper midrange & flagship territory.
