Zero, 17 Nov 2023Funny story there is a rugged model which has a Dimensity 8... moreTotally bonkers that Tank 3 was, though removal of projector was a bummer.
Meanwhile, Samsung getting stingy even on their niche devices. Soon even their budget phones will remove the 3.5mm port and sd card slots.

Maybe long battery time and low cost is a priority in this segment? I use smartphones every day at work (various supermarkets etc.) and those smartphones usually have a rugged case but are always super-slow like 7 years old performance with super-old Android version. Some supermarkets have started using recent iPhones and suddenly you feel like you have "super powers" :)
I think this Xcover will be powerful enough, 6GB of RAM is pretty good for a bunch of apps to run. The apps normally used with these phones are quite non-multimedia focused I'm guessing...

What's the thing with rugged phones always having low end or underpowered chipsets ? Don't give me that BS that construction workers aren't human and thus don't require anything else than a rugged phone body

They should've used the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 or Exynos 1380 instead of D6100+.

            Weak.

Nobody should care, that single camera is just not enough, especially when it isn't even anything special either
