Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is the cheapest it's ever been at $399.99

Sleep on this and you might wake up full of regrets.

Two areas where you just can't leave a Samsung and pick up a Chinese phone is:-
1. Finesse in photo and video modes. Chinese pack in a good hardware, but they leave software unpolished, leaving it to the user to tune it. Check video specs, 4K60 and 8K24, both are rare in chinese flagship killers, while a typical Samsung does them out of box.
Even OIS is not seen in some Chinese, but granted its more common now.
Even my LG G8x does 4k60 wit OIS and quite good at it.

2. UI and bloat.. Samsung wins it in the end, although barely so.
Display is another area where Samsung is good, but all displays are so good now, that a micro difference is ignore-able.

But, that's all there is to this phone. RIP 629 dollars or whatever price you paid for it...

I don't care if they are giving it to me for free, I'm not 'upgrading' to a phone with no headphone jack or micro sd support.

Mills, 19 Nov 2023Your replies are gonna be filled with rage comments or comm... moreWell, at starting price was a no go at any way, even the S22 is better, but now at USD 400, the story changes. Is superior to Poco due the Dex Mode. And has decent cameras, so at that price, which was supposed to be the real price, is a decent deal.

If they sell the S23 FE in India at $400, I would buy it today. But, that's not going to happen. 🥲

Anonymous, 20 Nov 2023how are those phones better with weaker chip and higher pri... moreBecause the F5 and 13T are available at lower than launch prices, just like how $400 discounted price made the S23 FE more attractive than its frankly ridiculous $600 launch price. But you wont find F5 or 13T getting huge $200 discount barely 2 months after launch like the unpopular S23 FE though.

almost bought it, but it was a bit too large with large bezels feels like repackaged a54 or a22, s23 is a nice compact size but given the still somewhat high price ill just wait for the s24, I'm also glad s24 will have more flat sides like the iphone give it an even more sleeker compact look

Anonymous, 18 Nov 2023I don't want to be disrespectful in any way, but I don... moreSaying you don't mean disrespect doesn't make it true, if you then disrespect someone.

You completely misunderstood everything I said, you have some discriminating preconceived opinion about Romania as your only actual argument, and you accuse me of lying about something I didn't even say. Poor education is to blame, I guess.

I was talking about retail prices on launch, and at the moment of my comment, not about resale values, and I never said an actual price, so I don't even understand where you got that grand from.

Anyway, I'll just reiterate, so maybe you can understand something that seemed quite clear, but here we go: at this moment, the Ultra and 14+ have the same retail price. The 14 pro max has a 25% higher retail price, also at this point. The current retail price of the Ultra is 40% lower than the price it launched with, and the 14 pro Max's current retail price is 15% lower than the launch price. These values are pretty much consistent for any Samsung or iPhone here, where just so you know, both are quite well sold, with more than half the people I interact with using an iPhone.

I never touched on resale values in my comments, but I find what was implied to be quite obvious: if one product loses a lot of retail price over time, resale values will also drop faster, because nobody would buy a 2nd hand phone for the same price as a new one.

You also denied your reading comprehension is bad, when you misunderstood everything and added words into my mouth (fingers?), but then you say I misunderstood you. Your original comment I replied to never said anything about buying 2nd hand, it simply stated you can find the 14PM for ~800 euros, 50 lower than the Ultra. Only if I go read the first comment YOU replied to, will I find anything about resale. I assumed you were taking about new phones, because 2nd hand prices are so varied it's pointless. I can find a 14PM 2nd hand for as low as €300, and as high as €900 on our biggest 2nd hand online store, but neither is relevant without the condition of the phones.

You should work on being less of an entitled prick, especially since Ireland isn't that much better than Romania, with both capitals having very close GDP per capita (you are neighboring a country that makes yours look like a slum by the way). The difference is, we don't look down on people because of where they live, only for how they act. (To anyone wondering what this is about, this guy made a 2nd comment calling Romania a backwater country).

By the way, 2 other people thought you were talking about new phones, and nobody thought you were talking about 2nd hand, so you should work on your phrasing too. Bye hater.

Anonymous, 18 Nov 2023And Germans have 2500€ salary. AND THEY still are bot satisfied. On average, closer to 2000. Then at least 1000 goes for renting a place to live, + transportation, food and other living costs. So no, those phones are not that easily affordable in Germany either.
