Well 22k battery with low end SoC, heating dissipation problem and so on...they would give you a half day battery life if you are lucky.
And to remember if you can carry this on your pocket, you have a " b o o m b " inside it. Dont trust Chinese batterys

Why does this phone need to be let down by a Helio chip? I'm not saying it should have flagship specs, but it needs something that won't be constantly lagging in 2-3 years on a phone whose battery and build will last over 10.

I totally understand your point and for the most part I even agree with you, but this isn't how batteries work. It would gain ~5000mAh of it's battery later than a phone with a 5000mAh battery, but with faster charging.

I have one of these and they are ace. Takes a few weeks to get used to the weight and a few days of sore thumbs but after that it's not an issue. Battery charging speeds isn't an issue as you can go many days before even needing a charge and if it's really an issue for some put in on the charger when you go to sleep...not that it's that long to charge anyway...I use mine for hunting in very rugged country and it is awesome...great pics and a lot of features and can last week's without a charge on aeroplane mode...so this is a real piece of mind...great phone and happy to recommend to anyone...your not paying for the best phone out there more something that can handle the knocks and be ultra reliable...

Why is it a problem for you people that it has only 33W charging speed ? You people dont buy it anyways cause you want to have best on the market camera for the phone and you also want good performance so you can play your 6-8 hours a day and charge your phone at least once a day.
This phone dont offer you best cameras and performance as both are pretty much low end. It's even a 4G phone so it's made for people as a working tool in extreme conditions where battery life matters cause you dont have access to charge it often.
Also that 33W speed probably get you something like 6000-8000mAh charge for the same time as something 67W charging a 5000mAh battery is around 50 minutes. Last 20% of battery charge slower then the first 80%

22000 in 33 means something like
5000 in 7.5W which seems too slow to charge.
Let's view it as more daily consumption point.
First charge needs almost 20%/h which means 5+ hours to reach 100%.
During the day there is no need to recharge and you may have enough juice to fully squeeze the day all around. Nightly charge is logical as the capacity is large. daily charge is also acceptable as you usually consume 5,000 mAh as standard. So, maximizing the experience,
In my opinion, thanks to the 33W charger and remaining upper 50% to be filled, you would charge it a little lazier than 5,000/33 phones but with more power in reserve as you would never run out of charge.
The problem in my view is weight. as these phones are not fashion centric, they can use more polycarbonate materials instead of metal in these range of phone which will be at least. a bit lighter than what they offer. most of the time phone is in pocket, and pockets are not as strong as the users' arm and hands.

Anonymous, 18 Nov 2023Good luck with slow 33W charging that 22.000 mAh battery. 😃Unlike those Chinese 1500000W charging phones, this has a battery that can consume 33W through the whole cycle. That means it only needs 3 hours from 0% to 100%.
So at least charging is practical. I still don't know who needs this phone. Nomadic gamers using solar chargers in winter? With strong pants?
