OLED is bad for its unfaithful color production, that's the only reason I would ditch it.
Mini-LED LCDs should've been the way to go for tablets, especially since most people use tablets for artistic purposes.

Thank you so much for informing me that Apple will be moving its iPad mini screens to OLED in 2026 this is so helpful. In just over 2 years and a bit, we will have something to look forward to. Come on GSM this really isn't good journalism.

a17 pro (or M1), 90 hz at least are what i want for the next mini. that would be revolutionary.

Really iPad Mini 7 has Oled with 8.7 Screen, & no Jelly Scrolling.
I buy One.
But i really would prefer Mini Led with 8.7 Screen, & no Jelly Scrolling.
Since my iPad Mini 5 is getting old & in 2024 it 5 Years.
I was disappointed by iPad Mini 6 Jelly Scrolling, & Large Side Bezel, & no Jack for wired earbuds.
Only improvement i can notice is Taller Screen for iPad Mini 6, & it felt Lighter than iPad Mini 5.

But in the phone game, they're kinda falling behind. D9300 and 8 Gen 3 are shown to be catching up in AnTuTu 10 and GeekBench 6.

i wonder for how long apple will keep fooling its customers and ship a 60hz display just to upsell their Pro lineup. It's onky a matter of time competion catches up. If app and game developers start optimising for Android tablets, iPads will be done for, and that shall happen soon.

Back in Galaxy Note 3 & 4 days, the Samsung OLEDs were bad and I got constant eye strain from using it. In recent years, i've owned Galaxy Tab S7 and currently Tab S8 ultra and the quality of those OLEDs are exceptional. Image and texts are crystal clear and HDR is amazing. I can never go back to LCD.
