YouTube launches "Playables" for Premium subscribers

Read the room, Google. No one buys into the nonsense features you make up to "justify" Netflix Premium levels of subscription fees for flippin' ad skipping on funny home videos.

I will bet you, less than 1% has ever clicked on the useless extra features in the left pane.

    Glad I use Apple Music and mostly watch stuff on Instagram nowadays.

      Is that even necessary?? All I want are for them to NOT temper with my playlist, the old pop-up preview on the progress bar and better audio quality on YT Music. I don't mind if they add Stadia-level of cloud gaming but this Playables bs is useless for most people.

        Out of topic question since it is a YT article.

              YT Premium is only good for kids who don't want them to see ads. But it is a cool feature, otherwise they wont pay them.

                so i pay extra to get free games, with 2010 graphics awesome!!

                  This would have totally made sense if they started some kind of stadia again for YouTube premium, it would become an instant buy, but no, they are trying to sell games that God knows who might wanna play.

                    no thanks, even its new feature from Premium.


                    Vanced is still best imo

                      I just realised, that most, if not all of these are free games, so people would basically be paying for not having to download them.. assuming they even want to play any of them.

                        YouTube: we have ways to stop you from blocking ads.

                        Also YouTube: here's another "useful" addition if you pay us.

                            oh shame they are trying their best to get rid of ad blockers didnt work now they are trying their hardest again to people subcribing to premium

Just use adblocker browser with background play and for downloading videos use a website. Alternatively use Vanced.

                                    those were the days, the simple days.

                                    glad to see after 14 years, angry birds is still going strong

                                      Still not worth paying. 12 months for 1 months price, and I might think about it. Yes, think.

                                        What an improvement, I mean wow, totally.. now it's really worth it to have Premium.. yeah..

                                        What do these random small games even have to do with YouTube, and why would anyone want them, and pay for them?
