A similar feature was already introduced for some of Sony's DSLRs.

For the prices they charge imo they need to provide 4 years of security updates, personally I don't much care for os updates.

Resolution doesn't matter nearly as much on screens this small and the full resolution is rarely ever used anyway. Modern 1200+ nit 1440p screens are perfectly sharp and are pretty efficient. Having a brighter display never hurts, it comes in handy more often than you might think.

                  Yeah that's great. How about using a modern display too? And upgrading the cameras front and back? And fixing the throttling issues? And upgrading the charging speed?

                    You go, Sony. Honestly, can't keep up with rising prices but anyone who denies that Sony tech is top notch, is either ignorant or 'influencer'.
