Anonymous, 28 Nov 2023Harmon curve is still the ideal frequency point most manufa... moreThat's the point, harman curve is considered the 'normie choice' by most audiophile. I myself currently use VSDF based on harman, and sure everyone at least find harman acceptable, but that's the point, it's made with most people sound signature preference in mind, read the paper.
It's like vanilla ice cream, and in this case, you are someone who eats 20 ice cream per day, vanilla ice cream then becomes the boring flavour for you.

I'm not seeing in the near future, yet hoping, that audiophile level mobile audio experience becomes a reality...
Till, when do we continue to hold on our 2019-launched LG devices?

However, like I said, I don't see it happening...

Anonymous, 28 Nov 2023Harmon curve is still the ideal frequency point most manufa... moreYeah, that was some serious rear-end hurt, wishful thinking by someone who's upset their favourite brand isn't and never will be considered audiophile.

MaiMai Playa, 28 Nov 2023No... The article mistook multi-platform with multi-device... moreHarmon curve is still the ideal frequency point most manufacturers go for, "not appreciated" is grossly overexaggerated and only something a stuffy self-identified "audiophile" would say

MaiMai Playa, 28 Nov 2023No... The article mistook multi-platform with multi-device... moreOhh okay. That's still pretty cool but not as cool. That's a shame

Tried Roon and dumped it. It misidentified much of my music collection to the point of being completely useless. I now use MusicBee, and Emby with no problems and more features.

The article mistook multi-platform with multi-device, the last attached image clearly show it.
Roon itself is an aggregator/integration platform, so let's say you have Tidal and Qobuz subscription, instead of switching back and forth you just link both to Roon and it will take care of sync and everything else.
The official Harman news also mistook it. But then again Harman is not readily appreciated by audiophile community...

The lifetime subscription for Roon is currently $830 btw, it keeps increasing in price. Maybe after this it will be gone for good.

Mills, 28 Nov 2023I like how in the photo, they use M3 iMacs and not Samsung&... moreThat infographic is probably from Roon, prior to the acquisition.

I like how in the photo, they use M3 iMacs and not Samsung's own displays or tablets or phones. But people are attracted to Apple, so?

Well it sounds lot better than hearing Microsoft bought Activision.

I'm guessing we'll see a Samsung music app, pre installed on all Samsung devices but downloadable on most devices. It will probably let you control Samsung and harmand brand audio outputs and seemlesslg change between devices
