Omdia: Honor shipped the most foldables in China during Q3

The Magic V2 was China's best-selling foldable during the July – September period.

Q3 is July, August, and September which came before the N3(1+ Open is sold in NA), so even though these sales are good, both the N3 and Mate X5 will likely surge in the current quarter. Can't wait to see how this turns out. Although it was obvious Huawei would lose market share due to competition, I still think they will have the most sales at the end of year.

        China sold about 1.5-2 million foldables in '22. Unlike NA, book foldables are more popular than clamshells in China, but the flip is keeping Samsung in this race. There are no reports or breakdowns on how much Z Folds they sold in '22 which means it is low. They did over 300k flips.

          The numbers I read from Counterpoint were a bit different. They break down as follows:

          Huawei 34% vs. 49% '22
          Samsung 21% vs. 23% '22
          Honor 16% vs. 4% '22

          The V2 was the best seller in this quarter followed by the Mate X3 and Pocket S.

Especially its cameras (except for the selfie cameras, which are completely garbage), those rival most bar phones. It may not be as thin as the Honor foldable, or as large (I like larger phones personally), but the cameras are amazing and it has stylus support on both screens just like the Honor Magic V2.
