Wrong then..... and now the post

The foldable and cover displays on both the Z Fold 6 and the Z Flip 6 will be larger than on the Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5. Exact sizes in latest DSCC Foldable Report. Flip 6 cover display approaching 3.9".
    https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=12418&idPhone2=12252&idPhone3=12531

    Why?
Flip 6 cover display approaching 3.9". So between current and 3.9" (aka I have no idea) for a notification screen. This is not going to be a selling point

If only Samsung can give a bigger battery and DeX support, even if it's wireless only. Motorola can still give wireless Ready For for the Razr 40 series despite not having USB3 with wired video output.

For Flip6 There's a two ways to increase outter screen without any increase of size:
Option 1: it's only 0.5inch increase so they can adjust to bezels There's some space on flip5.
Option 2: move main cameras to the bottom half and have the top half only for screen, you will have to do selfie with open phone only, that's the only bad thing, in the other hand they have more space to put a better and bigger cameras. Maybe a they can put a little selfie cameras in the top half and main and powerful cameras in the bottom half, and we could do selfies with closed phone and even better with the main camera and the outter screen if phone is open.
For inner screen on the flip6 I won't do anything maybe just something not too important but maybe change aspect ratio to 16.9 or 21.9 to fit to video standards.

For the Fold 6 aspect ratio is a must from the first fold I think its necessary to fit to video aspect ratio standard, to avoid annoying black lines on screen or artificial zoom.

Both times it happened were during the warranty period?

Honor and huawei dominates the sales of foldable phone in CHINA.

Surprisingly, samsung has 19% foldable marketshare in china, which is even higher than oppo's 11% china foldable marketshare

Bigger outer screen?? They definitely will increase the inner screen size to 6.8, 6.9 or maybe 7.0, so they can make more rooms in the back. Is that a bad thing?? No, but honestly i prefer the current 6.7 and current outer screen.

Instead of screen, they should improve the battery and cam quality. But yeah, Samsung being Samsung🫠

Samsung really flipped the game. So much innovation in the last years. Now they need stay on this path and stay away from exynos

sadly...., 30 Nov 2023its neither of what you claimed. The other competitors are... moreThat's not true when it comes to clamshells. The competition doesn't have the same hardware advantages as book folds. That's why Samsung has successfully been selling flips in China. In '22 they were 2nd in the market share. That was mainly off flip sales.

sadly...., 30 Nov 2023its neither of what you claimed. The other competitors are... moreYes and the other competitors barely sell their phones outside of China. Samsung dominate worldwide foldable sales with over 90% market share. If you look at China, oppo dominated flip phone sales this year with the n2 flip. So ppl who have access to more options and are used to having more variety of phones choose other companies, but Samsung just sells more phones in more places with better brand recognition.

Bigger displays! are you kidding me! instead of that, they should work on a bigger more usable battery because the current ones are unquestionably undoubtedly absolutely suck.

The other competitors are in fact slimmer and smaller and some even better productivity than Samsung's.

Ppl buy the z flip because it's more compact and fits in your pocket better than most phones. If they make it bigger, it won't have that advantage anymore

I would be surprised if they put a bigger screen on the flip this early. It's not needed, IMO. I think the focus should be on the battery and making apps work seamlessly on the front display.

As for the Fold, Samsung offers the biggest trade-in values so they have the right away for my upgrade, but I still prefer the Z as-is. If they're going with a bigger display, I would expect a bigger battery as well. I don't have confidence they can achieve this without increasing the width and weight which means the Z6 could end up the size of the Vivo, Honor or Xiaomi. I would prefer something smaller or similar in size to the X5 or 1+ Open.
