good dynamic range, natural colours, not too much HDR action, good lenses (except UW), good detail even in 2x and 6x modes. Too bad Night mode is not manually selectable, only automatic. With Samsung you can use Photo mode or Night mode when you want. As well as Expert RAW. Oneplus has some way to go for photographers.

Too bad the phone itself is way too expensive and have fragile display (MKBHD's example of Oneplus Open had dead pixels after 2 weeks). Same cameras will come in Oneplus 12 but that phone has bad grip and requires a case for safe holding.

Hopefully in the future these cameras will show up in a better phone :)

If it's better than even the S23 Ultra (imo at least)? Then that's a job well done from Oppo

I highly doubt posting it as one of the many sample photos from the phone camera will get them into trouble, especially when GSMArena isn't based in France to begin with.

Reminder - you're not allowed to share pictures of the Eiffel Tower illuminated at night.

Therefore, your nighttime shots of the Eiffel Tower are breaking copyright laws. Highly recommend you remove them.

Creates the illusion of detail especially when not zoomed in. These pictures look quite natural without excessive sharpening and micro contrast.

Nick Tegrataker, 04 Dec 2023Huawei's UWA camera was already extremely good in term... morebut the thing is, this sensor is bigger than both the Xiaomi 13 Ultra's and Samsung's S23 Ultra's and by its specs, seems like the same one used in the Vivo X90 Pro+. What I do think is happening is cut down processing. I don't think Oppo cheaped out on the hardware, I think they either cheaped out on the software or just haven't worked on it yet.

If I were to get a foldable tablet that costs far lot more than a regular phone with similar specs, I would rather have a great camera setup and an external display that is wide and actually usable, both of which would directly affect my "day-to-day" usage.

To me, those photos seem to have a very good contrast and a decent amount of pop to them without crushing black like Pixel does. The texture rendition is also very consistently good across the frame, I would say they are very detailed for typical 12MP shots.

jiyen235, 03 Dec 2023in what world would you say this UW cam is just "decen... moreHuawei's UWA camera was already extremely good in terms of per-pixel details back in 2019, and Find X3 Pro, X5 Pro and X6 Pro all have had a better UWA than this. In terms of sharpness, N3 falls behind Oppo's previous flagships quite a bit (The lens shows a bit of soft corners and noticeable chromatic aberration), and a few of these sample photos show noisy shadows that are simply not present in the shots from the other two cameras.

I'm not saying that it's not competitive against what Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi, Sony etc. offer currently, but it's still clear that Oppo had to cut corners for the UWA camera to meet the space/cost requirement, or both.

                        great pictures.

what about video test? like slow motion, and low light test. would like to see one.

Average quality. Nothing special. Why does Hasselblad feel the need to slap their name on anything under the sun.

Speaking as a photographer, these shots are impressive as hell, I have never seen such results from a phone, Oppo won the photography game with the N3. Only the ultrawide cam is a bit weak compared to the other 2, but it's still very good

It looks very washed out. Almost no textures on building or anyting. Especially in daylight.
I wonder if the lenses are just too poor quality?
It also looks like it could use a better horizon detection. There are a lot of lopsided photos in those shots. 😅

An effective and pleasant processing, without excesses. Great.

Compared to the Find X6 Pro, yes most definitely but even amongst flagships this UW cam is great. Better than the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and the S23 Ultra. The only thing I could complain about is the colour consistency, can't complain about the sharpness because if they decide to sharpen it more it'll look oversharpened compared to the beautiful, natural, cinematic and the filmic look that this has currently. Huawei imo has been guilty of sharpening a tad bit more than needed, a softer presentation would've made their already kind of unnatural looking photos, to me at least (maybe due to the HDR processing and stacking/facial processing), to more unnatural levels. Samsung's not even in the competition compared to these Lmaoo

Don't get me wrong, if my telephoto camera was just as good as my main cam i'll always use that because I love the zoomed, compressed look. Looks far more pleasing and I try to use it all the time. But if a phone has a mediocre main camera it's hard to justify to the "masses" and hard to advertise such a phone. I wish there was a market disruptor who went for flagship cameras for the UW and Zoom cams like Oppo but a bit closer in terms of quality for the 3 sensors, for example a 1/1.12" triple sensor or this Lytia main sensor coupled with two 1/1.28" or 1/1.3" sensors with a decent aperture.
