Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25+ to opt for Sony camera sensor

04 December 2023
The Ultra model will most likely use a Samsung-made 1-inch sensor.

The banana blur scandal affects only that 50mp camera...samsung was pressured to get rid of it...but they probably still have a big stock, so they had to use it for S24

I've seen many sample off 989 and they look good but that's about it. They look exactly the same as images off 1.5 sensor. Size of the sensor dont mean nothing when your images are still HDRed to oblivion and oversharpened.

            What about the S26? 😉

Samsung Electronics will not sacrifice design and allow those massive bumps.

It's very good news for Samsung.

                      Too early.

Which is the model they are interested in to compete with iPhone sales!! Everyone knows that Samsung cannot sell much in the segment of 1000 and up, only Apple does that and no one else... but now they realized that following Apple's steps was not giving them results.

Sony sensors+Exynos combo🤔🤔 hmmm. They would get better results out of a SD. But let’s see..

Moto G82 and 84 have same SD695, consequently same ISP.
                                1/2.76" vs 1/1.56" ..
                                Guess which one does better.

We don't know exactly about next Cortex X5 cores, we don't know about future 3nm yield manufacturing etc. It's all just rumors and waste of time. Nothing else. Thank you for reply. 😊

I am beginning to think that camera sensors don't make that much of a difference. Don't get me wrong, they are very important, but modern sensors are all big enough and good enough.

Chinese phones are spec monsters, packed with the latest and greatest tech. Yet, iPhones and Pixels consistently beat them in camera tests.

Lens and processing make more difference in giving you that camera feel, in my opinion. No modern 1"-type sensor phone can take a photo with a nice 3D depth, like even the first generation Sony RX100. That's the lens doing it. Smartphones are constrained by the physics.

With all that said, if I was getting a flagship phone, I would still want it to have a 1"-type, 50MP, Bayer sensor.
