Oppo Find X7 Pro leaks in hands-on images

Everybody is so creative. Seriously though, there's "good" unique and "bad" unique. This right here, it's a unique I don't even wanna say.
Comparing this to iPhone, it's a step up, if you will. Apple have had same the same camera island since 2019 (iPhone 11). 2/3 cameras on the back, resembling a sideways triangle like this: ▷ or ▶.

I don't know whether to be astonished or disgusted by that grotesque-looking camera island.
It's very awesome looking, but at the same time it's too much of an eyesore. It's like putting a super modern skyscraper in the middle of a rural town. Maybe such a design would complement a GT/racecar or luxury brand phone, but not on a standard flagship.
At least they don't gotta make it that thick....

I always like the look of the Oppo Find series, this one is nice too.
Everybody was also ragging about the Find X5 and then when it came out it was crickets, nobody had anything to say. I take the comments here with a grain of salt, people here don't like actual design. They want the plainest, most conservative, boring looking devices and then they say they are "sleek". It would be hilarious if they weren't so delusional.

This phone really must have anti-theft as a built in feature, because no robber would steal such an ugly phone. If possible they'd pitty you and offer you a replacement. 😭

Digital chat station has said that for the final version they will switch to a circular camera module so there's a good chance this is not the final design

The hard edges here are a pass for me. Huawei and Apple realized that angular but smooth curves are the way to go, and they're not wrong.
