Yet another G99 phone... LOL. But this is good. At least no more effin eMMC for the A1x series. Next move is to rid of it for the A0x series. With all having AMOLED, this is a strong showing from Samsung. I predict these models will be quite popular.

ShubhamDeshmukh, 13 Dec 2023Exynos 1280 was mediocre (both CPU & GPU) from the day ... moreTrue. The real problem is the software bloat, especially the inefficiency of Android itself. If the software was kept efficient, we could be using SD425 and Helio A22 without much lagging. But nope, instead we need Helio G99 and up to just run the OS smoothly.

ShubhamDeshmukh, 12 Dec 2023Yeah I'm shocked Samsung is still not done with 1280.
... moreThe Exynos 1280 is roughly equivalent to a SD695 chip (which I currently use in my daily driver). As long as the software bloat is kept in check, it'll last several years. Compare that to a 8x A53 chip like the Helio G37 that will constantly lag and stutter navigating through the OS.
As for gaming, it won't handle heavy graphically intensive games, but it should handle most smaller games and emulators up to at least N64/DS with ease.

Anonymous, 12 Dec 2023The Mali G68 of the Exynos 1280 has exactly the same amount... moreSame amount of cores, or even same cores means nothing, they are different chipsets, one of which does perform well (Dimensity 1080), the other one doesn't, and it never did (Exynos 1280), that's that.

Anonymous, 12 Dec 2023The Mali G68 of the Exynos 1280 has exactly the same amount... moreExynos 1280 was mediocre (both CPU & GPU) from the day it launched as mid-range (A53 & A33) in Mar 2022 compared to Qualcomm & Mediatek midrangers. Now it will be 2 year old by the time A25 hits most stores. Even if downgraded to low-end phones, it is not worth buying new. I'll give new phones 2 years max before they start feeling obsolete due to random crashes of overwhelming software demands.
The problem may be Google's lax efficiency requirements, data gathering, AI & careless app developers, but that is how the Android ecosystem is. Even 6 GB RAM phones sometimes suffer on Android while it is efficient on iOS.

With 6g they'll scan everywhere you go , even if u don't use a smartphone . First city people , then villages . That's why they made 5g antenna so small ... So biodiversity won't be ducked along with us because of our stupidity

Anonymous, 13 Dec 2023Why buy 5G phone when you dont even use 5G! You don't have to buy a 5G unit. There is a 4G as well. I do understand that there is no point of buying a 5G unit if there isn't any decent 5G coverage present or if you have to pay a surcharge for it if you want to use it. In my country 5G is getting deployed with a delay (after having been kind of forced to get rid of Chinese hardware) and it much faster but I'm still pretty happy with 4G speeds, especially considering the fact that 5G is still much more power hungry for a device to stay connected with it. On iPhones for example I do turn off 5G as they don't have big batteries but on an Android, from time to time I turn it on.
