No competition whatsoever. If you buy the Huawei, you are straight up trolling.

                    1. "Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 580 g" vs "Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra 193 g"
                    That's a huge weight difference.

                    2. "The Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra ... feels more premium as it is made entirely of aluminum"
That means Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra needs to have visible and exposed antenna lines as shown in the photo because metal blocks signals, unlike Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 without externally visible or exposed antenna. Besides, metal back panel isn't compatible with wireless charging. Huawei doesn't use metal body in its tablets probably for these reasons.

                    3. Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra screen looks and is narrower.

                    4. "The bundled S-Pen recharges on the back of the Galaxy,"
That means you can't put the tablet flat on a surface while the pen is attached on the back.

                    5. DeX or desktop mode is no desktop. It's merely a desktop-looking theme disguising the still mobile software. It does not function as an actual proper full desktop like Windows or Linux. I'd use a real desktop when I want a desktop experience.

In terms of size, I think the Huawei is more suited against the Galaxy Tab S9+. The Tab S9 Ultra is still way bigger than the Huawei. Chipset wise, I think the Kirin's not a bad performer despite being two or three generation behind the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. But for me, I take the Samsung because of microSD card slot and DeX support. If only either tablets have a headphone jack as they have more than enough space for it. I never like using dongles as it wears out the USB port faster.

S9 Ultra weighs only 193g?!? Guys please correct this.

The former having a Kirin 9000s (which is at snapdragon 888+ performance) just gives the latter an immediate win!

Nick Tegrataker, 18 Dec 2023This isn't a contest really, Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra wins ... moreOf course they will start in China. And this runs HOS 4.0 which still allows apk support vs HOS Next that will be apk free.
A lot of local Chinese company already hopped on the HOS Next bandwagon. Including a foreign one that goes by the name McDonald's.
If users couldn't leave GMS ecosystem, they better look for another brand. Some of us left using sideloaded solutions or web based ones. Or totally replacing Google with companies that do not discriminate on hardware like Microsoft etc.

This isn't a contest really, Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra wins hands down and not even close.

Kirin 9000S is impressive given it was designed and built while completely getting around an array of heavy sanctions imposed by the US government, but performance/efficiency wise it's clearly no match against the latest SoC offerings from Qualcomm. No Google services being installed means MatePad's usability as an Android tablet is hampered as well, and lastly, S9 Ultra's superior multitasking capability pretty much seals the deal here. Huawei's pricing is insane and it's fairly obvious that they have no intention to sell it outside of China whatsoever.

hmm, 18 Dec 2023What the hack this MatePad is made out of ? Like cast-iron ... moreI feel like you should've used your common sense to figure out GSMArena is obviously wrong about the weight of Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, which is actually 732g, almost 200g heavier than MatePad Pro. You know, no tablet is made out of sheets of paper.

GSMARENA, AT CHARGING SPEED YOU LIE. Both Tab S8/S9 Ultra with the same 11200 mah battery are charging zero to full in 80 min. with the 45W charger. Not 128 min. !! Modify the lie !! HUAWEI at 88 W in 70 min is a shame or they lie as always about the charging power. Just 10 min. less than Samsung at 45W🤣🤣🤣🤣

What the hack this MatePad is made out of ? Like cast-iron or something ? 3 times heavier then S9 Ultra that is bigger with bigger battery too.

Also weird to compare middle class hardware tablet with flagship hardware tablet.
Looking the Antutu 10 score where Huawei tablet is 660k range and S9 Ultra at 1.2M range.

Basically comparing the tables based on the screen size
