Xiaomi's HyperOS begins global rollout - here are the first devices to get it

        I just ordered a 12X (I can't afford the 13 and the 12 has poor battery life and heating issues). It will receive HyperOS (which is basically MIUI 15 from what I've seen), but it won't receive Android 14 (it only receives two android updates and it shipped with Android 11). It will receive its last security update in December 2024, but I hope to sell it once the price of the Xiaomi 13 (or 14) drops.

Everythin... moreI'm curious if the process of unlocking the bootloader is more difficult now, as that has happened with the chinese version of HyperOS. Considering that Xiaomi is one of the few phone brands that is fairly easy to open the bootloaders for, this is a disappointing change if it applies to global versions.

                        Hmm, that's not a very long list of devices for a whole quarter, I had hoped my Xiaomi 12 would get it sooner.

                          Anonymous, 18 Dec 2023What's improved compared to MIUI in your experience? Shockingly noticeable difference in performance. Everything feels like it's flying better. Settings are a lot cleaner. Control center cleanups too. The new lock screen customizations are nice, but I kind of like the one I had with MIUI better(why is it so hard to center the time/date?!?). Honestly you can't tell it's HyperOS versus MIUI unless you go into settings. It's just like any other update.

                            Wow I'm really excited
                            Hopefully it'll solve all the issues with miui

                                    Or you can just wait until January when the Poco X6 Pro 5G will be launched globally and it will come with HyperOS and Android 14 out of the box. It’s a rebranded Redmi K70E (1,5M points in AnTuTu, UFS 4.0, 90W charging).
