HTC South Africa must be one of the most useless when it comes to information on the HTC One! Please can someone at the HO help? Apparently stock was received in early May but that may have been an insignificant amount as only just a handful of people have it in SA.

HTC needs to work very hard to be doing what samsung is doing, samsung wants to own dey market. That why they are removing new phones every day with bigger chip sets which HTC needs to work harder and increase their screens on thheir mobiles.

AnonD-8044, 26 May 2013Well what can I say its true and exactly what folk are sayi... moreYup flexibility is important. And they keep arguing economics when even people who can afford to change phones every quarter easily don't see the necessity I mean why should we right? OK we have some gadget nuts around who seems to grow and lose an inch or 2 at every new kit but they're not the majority that's why flexibility is important for the rest of us.
I mean all of us would rather appreciate having $600-700 left over at times, for that hard earned vacation instead no? :)

why not a memory card slot other than increasing the screen size ? increasing the screen size wont make a phone popular these days .

thecalmcritic, 26 May 2013For HTC to come anywhere close to achieve that, they have t... moreWell what can I say its true and exactly what folk are saying and want..This goes for iphone as well..Folk love removeable battery for all reasons already gone over,,they want micros-sd slot for CHEAP memory upgrade instead of been ripped off ,plus as someone said if you damage phone 99% of time micro-sd card will survive with all your precious photos/vids on it.
The iphone and htc one are built more premium but they want the flexibility above ,,the Samsung are polycarbonate but are quite sturdy but Samsungs spokesperson asked what customers want and they did it,,they wanted centre home button ,removeable battery and micro-sd slot so thats what Samsung did along with SuperAMOLED screen.
Screen tech is subjective,i love colours of AMOLED but love pin sharpness of LCD.

A 5" HTC One is a very wise decision. It wont hinder the form factor and usability much and would have all of the 5" goodness.

rahulkumar, 26 May 2013main competitor to note 3
For HTC to come anywhere close to achieve that, they have to take it like a man and develop a model w/ One's winning traits; build quality + material + dual front stereo speakers and merge it to Note's proven standards; large 5.5"+ screen, Wacom enabled stylus support, removable and large capacity 3000mAh class batt and above all else expandable storage ergo micro SD slot. These where exactly why most Note diehards can easily stop caring about the plastic. They don't get things done ON or WITH the plastic shell but what's inside is the real deal. Common sense.
What grinds my gear is that HTC knew all of this already right after the og Note N7000 confirmed their numbers but they were deadset stubborn and thought phablets are at best a niche fad at the time.... well that's until Note II came along and they're still stuck w/ that line of thinking. We're not the ones getting paid to do their thinking for them. They have a full on R&D dept on full time payroll that should have get the job done.

I hope HTC will overcome present issues and will be what they were a couple of years ago. I hate Samsung's attitude as their sales went up. They look more and more like a chinese knockoffs producing factory, spitting model after model and dropping support shortly after the sale. The same with Google's undeveloped Android versions. This is so wrong and they'll open their eyes when will be too late. When customers get fed up with a company, there's little left to do. More competition will be good for us all. GO HTC, LG, Sony, Apple, Huawei et al.

I except more from HTC. HTC please, don't disappoint your customers!
And please include SD in your all kinds of upcoming cellphones. I've heard a lot as well as used htc, your cameras are fantastic. Please, don't try new experiments on us it will cost you more than a million $. Just saying..
