I tried iphone 2 times and returned it after a week. I can't stand ridiculous apps auto arrange on home screen. In android you can place the app anywhere you want, top, bottom, left right:) In apple you MUST have them from top to bottom.

APPLE: LOSER --> Productivity
The feature capabilities around the topic "Productivity" are also a great Loser category in 2023. Although USB-C 3.x has been introduced, there is still that ridiculous crap of having letter-boxed / pillar-boxed app & iOS appearance on a connected 16:9 monitor (19,5:9 proportion of iOS and apps). Not being able to do a full casting of content on a 16:9 monitor feels so poor and boring! Also the absence of a desktop mode is such a shame for Apple. Then the device is too stupid to show in a split-screen mode 2 apps next to eachother on the bigger screen of an IPhone 15 Pro Max (incl. drag & drop feature). The the missing ability to transform apps into smaller, freely positionable windows which can be moved on the screen. A missing Pen support is also a sad topic, which could make a real difference in an IPhone 16 Ultra model. And why not rotating the iOS homescreen from portrait mode into landscape mode and vice versa? All in all: "Productivity" is totally absent on an IPhone 15 Pro Max, which feels so incapable and stupid in the Apple univers. The hardware would easily support those features, but small-minded Apple product managers are blocking further improvements. Hoping so much for a better year 2024!

Call me when they actually have split screen for multitasking, obviously they can do it but to make it available would take time, and when that feature actually makes it into iOS they'll call it revolutionary just as they did with type-c making people misinformed, as if Apple did the first type-c which is funny and sad at the same time

Chinese brands just flood the market with models they can't keep updated because they know after a couple of years you throw them away. They also savagely copy Apple and Samsung and each other to the point that all phones are comically generic.

Take this article and compare it against the Winners and losers for Xiaomi and Samsung. What are more interesting. Usb C being a winner is a clear signal of a "boooooooooring" brand, and then just one phone worth to be mentioned, the pro.

On top of that, most of their phones, and tablets will get software updates past 3 years unlike most Androids, and it's the premiere brand when it comes to smartphones and tablets like Jordan's are to sneakers, or the Playstation is to video games.

S, 25 Dec 2023Most people use android if anyone compare with population r... moreYou can find good iPhones in second hand market with 300-400EUR. You don't need new iPhones or pay 1000EUR to be in the Apple ecosystem.
Also, there is a general mistake people make. They tend to compare iPhones with whole Android (that means all manufacturers selling Android phones). You should compare Apple with Samsung, Apple with Xiaomi, etc. (that means comparing manufacturer with manufacturer). And then you will see the most sold smartphones are iPhones (at least in Europe and US).
But these numbers are usually important to Android users. As an iPhone user, I don't care which is the most sold smartphone. Even if it were some Chinese manufacturer, I will still buy iPhones, because I like them more.

In other countries, where people are paying upfront for phones, you are correct. Android dominates since Apple doesn't play in sub $400 market. But still, when people have enough money, they would still buy iPhones as the Apple brand is very strong worldwide.

ikek, 24 Dec 2023I jumped from years of Android to iOS this year if solely, ... moreAfter 10 years or so on Android side I jumped to IOS too. I never found any limitations in my day to day usage. If anything, I find IOS better for me.
The only thing I can say is lacking on IOS is the customization from Android (like themes and so on). But, I never use this when I had Android phones anyway.
The rest is the same for me. I don't fell that I need to do any extra things when I am using iPhones. Just that IOS looks more well built from my point of view (everything is just more intuitive for me, like things should be exactly where are suppose to be). Also, I can use iPhones even 3-4 years old without any issues.
As for the price, true, iPhones are more expensive (in mid-range category let's say). But, for me even this is not a problem, because I never buy my iPhones new. So, I never pay more than 500EUR for an iPhone.

Most people use android if anyone compare with population ratios.
Many people can't even save 1000 dollars in a year to spend for mobile, thus users are less on apple ecosystem.
