Oppo confirms the 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor for a Find X7

The sensor is likely going in the Find X7 Ultra.

The most important factor here is that mobile telephones will get an increase in dynamic range. As for Sony it seems they are concentrating on APS-C and Full Frame sensor cameras.
Although even if they brought out one more rx100/rx10 it would fill a niche in the market.

Last year Xiaomi and Leica partnered up to produce a concept phone which could with a little modification could use M lenses. Granted this is a luxury and for the likes of people with lots of money.

To me though, I wish Zeiss kept developing Android based cameras. It was very expensive but if they dumbed down the specs a little. It could have been another option.

        With cheap options like their apsc, does not seem good anymore from financial POV

RX100 still has an amazing lens that smartphones cannot replicate. That lens makes all the difference. I would love a "smart" RX100 with improved image algorithms and modern features like GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc.

                                    Sounds like an interesting sensor.
                                    Maybe there is hope for a new Rx100 with improved image quality, rather than just focussing on video adjustments in the newer Rx100 variants. I would love an upgrade to the Rx100 III with (even) better images.

                                    The "Dual Conversion Gain" sounds very promising, especially if it is per pixel rather than global for the whole sensor.

                                      It seems that OPPO will put all flagship picture hardware on the new ULTRA series and do some cut on normal version,,,
