I love that Starry Night themed back panel, and the rectangular slab shape of it in a world where Samsung's Ultras widely exist, I can't think why should I pick ZTE over Samsung. I mean it's a quite a conversation starter, but so are foldables

I've had the Z50 Ultra and if it weren't for the bad screen and terrible software I would have bought a Z60 Ultra. But no thanks.

No headphone jack
No microSD
No 1TB storage available outside of China
Global pricing that makes it not much cheaper than an iPhone 15 Pro
It's DOA. There's no point in Westerners buying china flagships anymore since they no longer undercut the likes of Apple or Samsung nor do they offer as good software support.

That top earpiece is *very* thin, and there's no top speaker grille (on the topside)...

Unfortunately Nubia doesn't have good record when it comes to regular Android updates and Android releases.
Good hardware, meh software support.

First I've heard about the global version not having a UD camera, that will be a deal breaker for me as I'm looking for that feature, UK/EU website show an UD camera.
ZTE's UK price is really high compared to the global USD price and about 15% higher than EU price because they are unfairly pricing 1 to 1 as they are not taking into account the exchange rate.
I'm also concerned about ZTE record with updates and support. In fact I emailed their tech support on the 19th Dec with a question, 5 days later I haven't had a reply, big red flag!

Not sure if that helps for the US or if the gsmarena info is accurate atm since they haven't tested this phone yet.

650 USD for 12/256GB? Very good pricing and specs with SD 8 Gen 3. 16GB/1TB and above is overkill, in my opinion. Selfie camera looks soft and flushed compared to iPhone 15 Pros but it'll get better next year (where price stays the same hopefully).
Taking a look at competitors, X100 Pro has a beefy, processor which uses big.BIG computing architecture? I'm not sure, but the price is heavier at 5000 CNY (705 USD). In my opinion, both are matched. X100 edges out in processor speed, though,
One+ 12 has a 1440p screen (wowzers), same processor and wireless charging. The camera is weaker but just like my mom after whooping my butt, it's no slouch. Same battery specs and all that lithium jumbo. Solid competitor that I may buy if I'm not flat broke. It's CNY 4300 (607 USD)
iQOO 12 Pro is comparable to the One+ 12 with the chipset and similar camera set up but it's also 5000 CNY for 12/256. Very popular trim these days. Vanilla IQOO 12 is freakishly similar and going for 53000 INR or 640USD for us Americans.
Red Magic 9 Pro is a beast that I love and goes for 10 dollars extra price than iQOO 12 (650 USD vs ~640USD)

And no, normal screens don't need black bars to cover anything unless you're watching videos on yt
I play games and all of them are full screen, but because of the punch hole i have to add a black bar to hide it otherwise it'll cover up the game
My next phone is definitely going to be with an under display camera whenever Samsung decide to include it on their S series

It literally comes with all the bells and whistles so to speak. There is no way they missed on that. And if it can indeed be bought for 700 - 800(ish) USD it would be a very good buy imo.
