Why are people so obsessed with getting the Snapdragon variant? Is it just because of the "Higher Numbers Good" mentality? Unless you're running Crysis* on your phone or somehow becoming a graphics artists on a sub 7 inch screen, you won't notice the difference, and if you have that mentality in the first place, you'll sell the phone many years before the chipset becomes irrelevent.....

I've considered getting a Poco F5 so that I can give it a top-up or a full charge in only a few minutes. However, losing camera quality, shifting to a side FP sensor and dealing with the massive size of the F5 puts me off.
It looks like the Galaxy S24 series charges 50% in 30 minutes. That's certainly faster than the Pixels, though the vanilla's 4,000mAh battery is ordinary.

If the new Exynos is better in all aspects than the current Snapdragon, then it's a big win. It doesn't have to be better than the new snapdragon because the current one is suoerb.

Anonymous, 21 Dec 2023Exynos and same camera hardware? Pass.Camera hardware will be changed next year with S25+. I don't know when they will get rid of Exynos. Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 Ultra has got so better with A14 and I don't know how much it will get better with Hyper OS update. So Samsung definitely lost a plot over here.

I will be happy if it comes with snapdragon 8 gen 3 all over the world. Otherwise it's dead on arrival.

IDK why he has suggested the 1TB model has been dropped, that would IMO merit an additional comment
So John (Toilet?) or.. let's not go there. The TWO S24 non Ultra will feature the new Exynos 2400 architecture unknown but 10 core.
At the moment the Dimensity 9300 is the number 1 SoC, following it is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the Snapdragon 8 gen 1 was #1 until Dimensity 9200
The use of the now "maligned before ACTUAL release" Exynos 2400 would suggest to me it is ALREADY better than the Snapdragon 8 gen 2
Criticise it when you have ACTUAL rea world performance, not because it shares a name JOHN

Stoon, 21 Dec 2023The vanilla S24 is the way to go this year ... S24+ & U... moreexcept it won't? the 2k res does decrease battery life, but not significantly. Also, all of samsung's devices with 1440p panels (besides note 4/edge) can also display at 1080p and 720p, which improves battery life.

Bump would be way thicker than it is now if put 1/1.3" , 1/1.12" or 1" behind 35mm.
Imagine Oppo X6P bump with 2-3mm more. What you'd get with 35 instead of 23-24.
